The next American Revolution will be televised and recorded.

Grass roots conservationism has the numbers but it's message becomes easily diluted in the face of liberal media control of the narrative.

I suggest we take back the narrative.

My proposal:

Create a half dozen "permanent" threads on FreeRepublic that will serve as a clearinghouse or central hub for conservative activism using the electronic media.

A place where we can consolidated ideas into short "Twitter Bombs" that are targeted to both media heads, politicians and business leaders.

There is plenty of talent here for the creation of content. Content that is bold, biting and to the point.

I would also suggest that participants adopt a twitter handle that includes FreeRepublic, so we can drive traffic to this website.

We need to get in their face in a different way. All of these people are fundamentally insecure narcissists.

Create a "how to use twitter" thread.

Create a directory of "targets".

Create threads for specific issues; Gun Control, Immigration, Foreign Affairs, etc...

Create a library of content for each issue. Content being "cut and paste" twitter bombs.

I envision current and new FR users logging in and using the these clearinghouses to send messages without the feeling that they are alone.

Free Republic can be the center of this revolution.

‘Bout dang time. A Free Republic YouTube Channel is a super duper idea. Time we started using the Internet in a way it was never intended- as a peer to peer broadcast medium with each one of us a potential NBC/CBS/ABC.

This is news to me, since first, I thought the conservationists were allied with and well represented by the liberal media, second, I didn't think there well all that many of them, and lastly, I thought these days they were mostly calling themselves "environmentalists"

I love the TED talks and the challenge for conservatives, in my view, is that there are soo many topics to address that the time allowed dilutes the message.

These are not short videos but I think they are necessary in order to understand what and who we are dealing with.

I am tired of conservatives that take comfort in preaching to the choir.

We are smarter, more creative and have history and the facts on our side.

We need to get in their face, electronically.

The Goal: Exploit and undermine the childlike nature of liberal media personalities, environmentalists and Statists alike.

I want to destroy the false confidence they carry.

They operate from and promote relativism and uncertainty, therefore any and all statements of their opinion or fact are fair game.

please reconsider my proposal after watching the videos and offer constructive ways to achieving the goal.

Set up Permanent Threads for electronic activism.

A clearinghouse of material so to speak.

Here is what generally happens and what we can achieve.

Some Liberal talking head says something wrong or plain stupid on air or on Twitter.

People reply as for or against the comment.

When conservatives reply, they are attacked personally, never the point of the reply.

...ReTweet the attack...

expose their hatred and intolerance.

expose their illogical position.

They might or will block you.

create a new account if needed.

repeat.

All they can try to do is rule the medium with personal attacks.

After some time they actually will go away.

We as conservatives can OWN this medium and should OWN it.

But, in my view we need to get organized.

Someone that alerts us to a stupid statement or tweet, so we can respond with a targeted effort of replies drawn from a library of content.

I imagine multiple topics of concern “threads”. (2nd ad, immigration, education, 0bamacare, Muslim Hillbillies, DOMA, etc....)each containing the most relevant and biting replies filtered by our peers and experience.

Other threads would include those that track and document the effectiveness of our efforts. (history and entertainment)

We as conservatives, seem to be waiting for the next thing to get upset about. I want to upset them.

Surely anyone reading this knows that we are ALL in their database by now, complete with details. The NSA already KNOWS anything factual we may possibly post on a social media site. And patterns can be established easily. Not only do they know who we are, they know what we do every day. Over a several yr period of a freeper posting, it would be nothing to establish our opinions and daily patterns.

Once one lets that sink in to his awareness, then it’s time to decide: Do i want to sit on the sidelines and hope i can stay below the radar if SHTF so i won’t be rounded up? Am i comfortable with that? What if not enough conservatives stand up for the Constitution and this Marxist Revolution passes the point of no return? Am i ok living in the USSR?

And if anyone reading this gets queasy answering those questions, how can you expect OTHER people to “do something?” For example, if i choose to sit back and watch everyone else stand up for my God-given rights, how could i in good conscience sit here and continue b*itching about RINOs and talking radio heads and media who ignore truth and couch potatoes and friends who “hate politics” and obsessive American Idol watchers and on and on and on?

So, if someone doesn’t use social media, the desire to avoid Prism just isn’t a valid reason. Let the reason be ANYTHING but that. We are posting on the site that brought down Dan Rather, fostered the birth of the tea party, made the hanging-chad cheaters come out of the shadows, etc, etc. It may very well be that the only people who aren’t in a FR database would be any lurkers with no screen name who had visited from a public computer.
