Tackling obese people can hurt them and you.
Unions will demand more waivers after hearing about this.
And, while you’re at it......show me where the Executive branch has the power to delay enacting a law (Obamacare) for a year, so the treasonous scum that passed this horror show won’t get slaughtered in the 2014 elections.
Ah yes, tyrants always go after the most despised segments of society, don’t they?
So, when are they going to tackle promiscuity, particularly homosexual behavior? Treating AIDS costs a lot.
Oh, and don’t forget old folks. Aging is the #1 risk factor for most diseases. It’s about time we started telling people over the age of 65 or 70 that they have lived long enough. For the health of the state, comrade, the old, the sick, and the disabled will be denied access to care. Well, unless they have political connections, of course.
Lots of fat-assed liberals aren’t going to like this.
The Obama Department of Health study concluded that 75% of Lesbians are obese.
A rate much higher than the non lesbian population.
This no doubt has been discussed at the closed door meetings the DNC holds with the press.
Also being Black is considered a preexisting condition under Obama care.
They will target high cholesterol levels.
Guess which one race naturally has the highest cholesterol levels?
We must get rid of all sick people. It is sick people that drive up the cost of healthcare. If no one was sick healthcare would be cheap. It’s not frivilous lawsuits or government mandates that drive up cost. It’s sick people. Let’s charge healthy people for heathcare and when they get sick, deny them benefits. That money needs to be spent on abortion and transgender operations, not sick people. /sarc
You are learning, Comrade. Perhaps you will qualify for a seat on the death panel.
A modest proposal.
Nope. Being 59.5 years old, lifelong conservative, veteran, gun owner, that knows how to hunt and fish and how to live off the grid, will disqualify me for any gummit job.

Well, the war on tobacco was all just a prelude to this stuff. Many a FReeper celebrated the different victories of the nanny staters against tobacco, now they get to enjoy the fruits of their celebrations.
It won’t stop with tobacco or obesity, it will transition to hate speech causing stress for those offended, in other words no preaching the word of God.
And the average American seals clap in unison.
Good to see you pal, happy Second anniversary of Dependence Day to you.
There's something fishy about that.
Woo hoo! Free liposuction for all!
My dear husband is 5’9” and weighs about 200 pounds.
He’s 54.
He works out daily and has serious muscle mass.
He has a very small gut and no one looking at
him would call him overweight.
That said, he went for a health screening the other
day for our new insurance. By simply dividing his weight
by his height they determined that he is obese.
That formula gives him a BMI of 30.
Point is, a lot of people being called obese by
medical, insurance and government agencies are NOT fat.
Hey! I thought Dependence Day started in 2014. Did I miss the memo?
How about the underweight ?
With the USSC confirmation that it is constitutional for the Fed government to seize our physical being last year, well I consider that the inagural! ;-)
Take it further-— Be it obesity, high blood pressure, adults onset diabetes, or any other condition, what wil be the penalty for the noncompliant patient?
Another fine—er, tax?
Muscle weighs more than fat. Whoever did his BMI has no knowledge of what they are doing, just a stupid chart. I am 6’2” and weigh 185. But because I am fit I look like I weigh 160. Crazy world we live in.
They need to be on the double cheese burger and fries with a large milk shake diet. If it weren’t for skinny people obese people would not catch so much flack. Walmart and the other big box stores would have to provide a lot more of those scooters too. That would drive up the cost of all those cheap Cinese products they sell.
From what I understand that is in Obamacare under the "Complete Lives" system. Rahm Emmanual's brother David with monsters like Cas Sunstein have stated that a human life is only worth $60k and most of that value falls between the ages of 20 and 40. So any person falling outside those parameters will get little or no healthcare. Any person with chronic disease will be denied healthcare as well those with terminal illnesses.
Oh when Roberts rewrote ObamaCare to be a tax. I would agree except the worst parts of ObamaCare haven’t kicked in yet. So I still stand with 2014 being the first Dependence Day. But since they are trying to delay the employer mandate until 2015 to save their chances for taking the house in the 2014 mid-terms we may have an extra year of Independence Day next year. I get so confused lately. I tried to carry one of my guns onto an airliner and took a 757 to the gunrange the next day. What’s an old man to do?
by bmi i need to lose 40 pounds to not be overweight. i am 61, just had my physical and EVERY number was great. i play 2 hours of racquetball a week and walk at least 2 hours a week plus have numerous hobbies to keep my mind occupied. i would risk my health trying to lose that much, definitely my sanity. bmi is a joke.
It is like trying to decide if Independence day is the day of the declaration or the day of victory or the final ratification of the constitution.
It seems you are still holding out hope, while I have surrendered to the inevitable. It is really just an exercise in semantics I suppose....
So far they singled out smokers to pay higher premiums and as ineligible for most of the subsidy. But not drug or alcohol addicts, sexual perverts, or obese.
and if the insured tells them to go screw themselves, what... drop their policy???
why don’t they do what life insurers do??
smoke? you pay more for your insurance....
overweight? you pay more for your insurance...
why the eff should I or anyone else who works out 7 days a week and keeps in shape watch our premiums rise because fatty is to lazy to get off their butt?? why should i supplement the insurance company’s revenue to pay for fatty to lose weight???
wanna see obese people lose weight quickly?? stop with these garbage unisex/one price for all health premiums...obese people should pay more for their health insurance....
Oh, oh, obesity doesn’t just encompass “creepy white cracker fat asses.”
the BMI is a joke- my doctor even admitted it....
i’m 6’2”/220..my body fat content is probably under 10% (i trained for the olympics for a decade and like your hubby i workout daily)...according to the BMI i am overweight...
Let me guess, "Eat less and exercise more..." because no one has ever told overweight people that before.
Don’t surrender. I know you haven’t. It’s not in your DNA to give up.
That woman's rear end is the size of Baltimore.
unless there are genetic issues, hormonal issues, thyroid issues or other identifiable MEDICAL causes most obesity is behavioral in cause and can be rectified or mitigated with behavioral changes USUALLY
and when more extensive means are needed it is usually because the obese person has delayed implementing behavioral changes too long
either way, and other than diabetes (sometimes related to obesity), or directly treating simply, and just, for thyroid or hormonal issues - which are usally covered as-is separately, I don’t see why mere “obesity coverage” should be a government mandate (any more than any other government insurance mandate)
Then they’d have to abolish welfare
It does have its own zipcode.
If I want to be overweight (some make believe number), then it’s my business, not hussein’s.
Sebelius will issue an obesity waiver for lesbians.
You could see this coming a mile away. I would guess Michelle will not qualify for Obamacare.
You’ve confirmed in your post that you’ve bought into stage 1 of the collectivist mindset. It contains anger at your fellow citizens, and is just short of demonizing them. It also includes an attack against the “evil corporations.”
Your mindset is already one small step from a willingness to with hold health care from people, which isn’t too far from just advocating the elimination of undesirables.
I’d recommend that you change both your moniker and your tag line. Neither fits with the attitude represented in your words.
“Dont surrender. I know you havent. Its not in your DNA to give up.”
I have surrendered this stage, but that means I am planning for the next stage. Heck, just look at this very thread and you can see that the collectivists are embedded so deeply that it will take something drastic to root out that evil.
Right now I pray that God will intervene and bless us with his glory, however with stories such as the one I am linking, it will take a miracle:
