Don't let the Republicans off the hook. Remember, this stuff really took off under Bush after 9/11, and what we are complaining about now, the Bush administration was trying to push through a decade ago. Because far too many of us trusted the Bush administration, and because the Republican-led Congress didn't care or supported it and didn't do enough to truly dismantle it, and because many never thought about the day a left-winger like Nobama could hang his beret in the WH, we have reached this point.

I agree with you about GWB - however, you can’t compare him with BHO - it’s like comparing an ice cube with a glacier. But I know what you mean.
