Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is on a collision course with House conservatives over immigration reform.
The five-term senator has stopped short of criticizing Speaker John Boehners (R-Ohio) vow to move immigration reform only if a majority of House GOP lawmakers are on board. Yet, McCain made a pointed comment last weekend that suggested he would only bite his tongue for so long.
I really dont feel it's appropriate for me to tell [Boehner] exactly how he should handle this. But I think Republicans realize the implications for the future of the Republican Party in America if we don't get this issue behind us, McCain said on Fox News Sunday.
Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), who strongly opposes the Senate bill, took issue with McCains warning, but said he expects the 2008 GOP presidential nominee to continue challenging conservatives on the airwaves.
Most of what [McCain] will do, in my anticipation is through the media. He likes to drop a little bomb and watch how people will react, and hell do it again, King said in an interview with The Hill.
King said McCain should have learned his lesson when he tried to pass immigration reform with the late Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.)

Better to strap him on a drone so he can’t splash or crash it.
What he is not, today, is a rational statesman, or a spokesman for grassroots Republicans.
Most of us, agree, that passing this ridiculous bill is the threat to our future; certainly not its rejection.

I don’t like the Democrats, but I know what they are going to do.
With So called Republicans we never know what they are going to do.
They are as likely to turn on us as they are to awaken in the morning.
We cannot trust our party.
WE must NOT let this monstrosity get to the (House-Senate) conference....
McCain was on television??? I mean...how many times does that happen? (snarky sarcasm)
McCain if we bow down to the pressure your talking about we have already lost.
“McCain made a pointed comment last weekend that suggested he would only bite his tongue for so long.”
If he gets tired, I’m sure some of us could bite his tongue for him for a while.
The GOP need to muzzle McCain. He’s a disaster waiting to happen.
Throw him out of the House, if he shows up to make trouble there. He and his boyfriend, Linseed, have screwed up the Senate and now they want to mess with the real conservatives in the House.
This from “We have nothing to fear from an Obama Presidency” McTraitor. Earth to McTraitor: You are not a Republican! You are a Democrat, so stop trying to be the spokesman for RINOs!
Took the words right out of my mouth!!!
McCain is getting a case of senile vapors, and someone will have to wipe the drivel off his cheek when the tantrum is over. Perhaps his closest friends can make him an honorary Democrat, since he no longer possesses the mental acuity of a retarded RINO.
Then there's the war POW thing. It's like something during that time warped his mind and he thinks that more war somehow is a good thing.
I really, really wish he would just LEAVE the US Senate.
“I really don’t feel it’s appropriate for me .... “ but the GOP is going to crash and burn if we don’t bring 30 million undocumented Mexican Democrats to the voting booths, along with their families, shirt-tail relatives, friends ....
Shut up Juan.
Hey you north vietnamese brainwashed traitor and senator sh!*forbrains... the implication is that if the House passes any immigration reform... you will no longer have a viable party to be a member of. MAMMA GRIZZLY PARTY aka FREEDOM PARTY McJerkface!
Blue slip it back to the Senate and let McCain wipe his ass with the bill.
I've heard these revelations as well. This man truly is a despicable human being. Guess we know where his tart of daughter gets her judgment from. Media whores both of ‘em!
