But she's wrong.
Whoa, there's a real problem here.
This is standard courtroom procedure, especially in high profile cases.
This judge is a “friend” of the prosecution.
I can’t see who the defense can put on the stand that would o more to prove Zimmerman’s innocence than the prosecution’s witnesses.
Does that surprise you?
"He also said he changed his opinion about the effect of THC from marijuana in Martin's body. "
Well, there's an avenue for investigation before the Jury.
This discussion comes up periodically. The “Could care less” variation is plausibly in the tradition of irony, though it can just as well result from sloppiness.
Anyhow, Her Honor didn’t want the political onus, and there’s nothing that can be done to her for refusing, not even by an appellate court. Let the farce continue.
In the “legal” system, searching for Justice does not preclude piling on.
Amen! The entire prosecution team including the judge should wear kangaroo costumes.
Now what did innocent kangaroos ever do to deserve that.
Evidence? What does any of that have to do with a sacrifice to the gods of political correctness?
The “irony” argument is meaningless.
“She could care less”
You must mean that she couldn’t care less. Right?
Yep, he’s right. One guy is dead, and the attorney who claims to be trying to get him justice, is a...
No way THIS weak kneed judge was going to buck the p.c. tidal wave that Zimmerman is being drowned by.
Should have been: “There are two people involved here. One of them is dead and was a liar.”
It seemed meaningful enough to Dave Barry, I believe, if I have the correct author. Truly, I could care less about such cavils.
The Hon. Judge Nelson has already ruled that this subject may not be broached before the jury.
That hurts my eyes.
LOL! I return the floor back to you.
Gee, shouldn’t a judge keep themselves out of the trial? Some Freepers now like interfering judges?
mine too. I used to work for a very unintelligent person that said this at least 1/2 dozen times a day. Drove me to the edge.
This is a great example of the length to which the government apparatus will go to screw a totally innocent guy, because of Political Correctness and bowing to “diversity”.
A government of, by, and for the riotous.
That's despite the fact that the prosecution's case is incredibly weak.
“He also said he changed his opinion about the effect of THC from marijuana in Martin’s body. “
Well, there’s an avenue for investigation before the Jury.”
The jury was not present when the idiot made that statement. Therefore, it cannot be brought up during the defense’s case.
Recall some prosecuting witnesses to seal the deal. A greatest hits compilation.
Judge Debra Nelson makes Lance Ito look like John Marshall
$$ Nelson is bought by the prosecution and Black Racists
Let me say something here. If one of my children was outside screaming, it wouldn’t have taken me ten seconds to be out there intervening.
Trayvon’s mom says she heard her boy out there.
Did she go out there? Did she see Zimmerman on him? If so, say so.
Fact is, she didn’t go out there, because she didn’t hear her son screaming.
That’s the defense tactic right there.
Defense: “Okay Mom Trayvon, you are sure you heard your son screaming.”
Mom Trayvon: “Ah yes, I did hear my son. It pained me and still down pain me as I look back now. Oh how it hurts! I love my son!”
Defense: “Okay Mom Trayvon, could you tell me what you did in order to come to your son’s aid?”
Mom Trayvon: “Ah, er, eh, ah,... Could you please ax that question again Mr. Defense Man?”
Defense: “Sure Mom Trayvon, could you please tell me what you did in order to come to your son’s aid? You tell us you heard Trayvon in extreme stress, screaming for help. What did you do to help him?”
Mom Trayvon: “You know, I don’t think I like where this is going! Are you saying I don’t live my son? If you’re saying I don’t love my son, I’m gonna come down of this Witless stand and trash you Sucka!”
Defense: “Mom Trayvon, I am asking you what you did to come to Trayvon’s aid, because most folks here can understand that if it was their kid out there, they would have been all over this like melted marshmallows on Rice Crispies. You see Mom Trayvon, I’m not sure you did hear Trayvon. What’s more, I think you know you didn’t hear him. If you had, they couldn’t have kept you inside that night. Isn’t that right?”
Mom Trayvone: “Juuudge, do you hear that man? Do you see how disrespectful he is? Are you going to allow him to ax me such unfair questions?”
Judge: “Mom Trayvon, you can step down now...”
Mom Trayvon: “Thank you your Honoress! Peace and Sohama Sohama Lakem... Take that Mr. Defense man!”
Defense: “Didn’t hear Trayvon did ya...”
She only heard any screaming on a tape recording of a telephone conversation after he was dead.
Trayvon’s mother wasn’t anywhere near Trayvon. She gave him up when he was a toddler. Trayvon was raised by his alleged father’s girlfriend, not by this woman who abandoned him and then trade marked his name when she figured she could make some $$$$
Don’t misunderestimate the situation here. It could be hugh.
‘one of them is a liar’
Not being an attorney, I would guess that if the prosecutor had evidence that Zimmerman was a liar, he would have presented it in open court when he had the opportunity.
His outburst today seems petty and meanspirited. Is it possible that maybe the law is not the career path that he should be on?
You used to work for an unintelligent person WHO said this at least 1/2 dozen times a day.
Who, not that, when you are referring to a person.
Also, in what way does 'very' modify 'unintelligent'?
I'm assuming you want to know about these errors.
Huh? She was hundreds of miles away in Miami at the time. Traydmark was with his father & dad’s girlfriend.
No, he meant to type "she could care less", which is what he typed, not understanding what he had typed!
I don’t want an interfering judge, but one that ruled properly on a valid point of law would be nice.
Pretty good idea. Make sure the jury hasn’t forgotten what they said.
Apparently there was also a step-mother somewhere along the way. I saw an article a few days back where the step-mother was complaining that after raising him for 14 years she wasn’t allowed to sit in the family pews up front at the memorial service.
His uncle made a great witness on the stand. Very credible.
George Zimmerman’s Uncle Testimony: That is George Screaming for Help
The jury don’t really care what is said. They have a job to do and their families to protect. Their job is to return a verdict of guilty. All this talk of riots if Zimmerman is found not guilty is subtle reminders to them.
The best be could put on stand before the weekend
WTF are you talking about? Can't you read or comprehend any thing you read?
St. Travon was staying at his FATHER'S house. His mother was no where around.
She listened to the 911 tape after the fact.
I am so sick of half wits that can't read or won't read an article and then setting up straw men arguments that end up hijacking a thread and taking it off in another direction with the help of other half wits that can't or won't read.
Understand what you're talking about or STFUASD.
(I've long known that the Legal system is quite a distance from a Justice System.)
St. Tray’s biological jomama cut him loose at age 2yr.
