George Zimmerman might be on the verge of becoming the next O.J. Simpson.
He’s the defendant in the high profile case out of Sanford, Fla., that has launched a million discussions and a thousand protests across the country, including Myrtle Beach, Columbia and throughout the Carolinas.
A jury of six women will decide if the prosecution has presented enough evidence to rebut Zimmerman’s claim of self defense. He shot unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin during a confrontation that began after Zimmerman believed, for reasons unexplained, Martin was suspicious for walking home from the store.
No matter what the jury decides, the pro- and anti-Zimmerman camps likely won’t change their minds -- just like the Simpson verdict.
Zimmerman was unknown until that fateful night in which he shot Martin, while Simpson had a Hall of Fame pro football career and spots in well-received commercials and slapstick comedies.
Zimmerman seemed to be a wanna-be police officer, Simpson a high-profile husband with domestic violence accusations in his past.
Zimmerman is a middle-class white Hispanic, Simpson a rich black guy.
Those are the superficial differences. In each case, the people who were killed have largely become afterthoughts.
The people who cheered wildly with glee when Simpson was found not guilty all but danced on the graves of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Their focus was on Simpson, not his wife and the man brutally murdered beside her, not on the evidence that strongly suggested Simpson’s guilt, despite the defense’s expert cross examinations that raised questions in the minds of jurors -- the only minds that legally mattered.
Today, supporters of Zimmerman -- people who had never heard of him -- don’t much care that an unarmed 17-year-old walking home from the store ended up dead on the street......

What the heck is this idiot talking about? Ron and Nicole never took a lick at O.J. According to the "jury", O.J. wasn't even there.
BULL. CRAP.
OJ was a black MURDERER who was recognized as such by most Americans, but declared "innocent" by a large number of black Americans, simply because he was black.
Zimmerman is a white guy who SAVED HIS OWN LIFE BY ACTING IN SELF-DEFENSE, which is being recognized by most Americans, but who is declared "guilty" by a large number of black Americans, simply because he's "white" and the person he defended against was black.
They are the exact opposite. The only thing they have in common is that a bunch of people (who incidentally seem to mostly be black) have judged them not on the content of their character, but according to the color of their skin.
Assuming he meant what he said, Martin Luther King is rolling in his grave.

The evidence the State presented does not warrant a conviction.
However, there is plenty of evidence to disbar Angela Corey, Bernie
“The Roach” and the liberal hack Judge.
Did the author mention that George Zimmerman, WHITE (hispanic) guy did this?
I'd bet a million dollars that if you asked GZ what his ethnicity is he'd say "Hispanic".
Does anyone think that Zimmerman is a "white guy"?

It's just that if I saw GZ in person, I'd think he's Hispanic. He doesn't look bi-racial to me.

Really.
An honest replay of the incident does not include referring to Zimmerman as a “white” Hispanic or a wannabe cop. There was zero evidence produced in court to support the wannabe cop claim.
An honest replay admits that there had been several burglaries in the neighborhood by young black men, that Zimmerman was suspicious because he had not seen this person in the neighborhood and was doing what he was supposed to be doing as neighborhood watch.
An honest replay would concede that Martin had time to make it to his daddy’s fiance’s house without incident if that had been his goal.
An inability to give an honest assessment because of race is the only thing these two cases have in common.

Time for Liberals and the Press to stop assuming (and saying) that no “unarmed” person can be shot because they were not a threat to another person’s life.
