Isn’t he still in Africa? Why doesn’t he just swing by Egypt and give one of his mesmerizing speeches and straighten things out?

Haha!

What a joke the guy is. Not even fit to teach 5th grade social studies much less run the world.

Well, yeah, I remember. ;-) And many a democrat in Alabama has switched over to the Republicans in my lifetime. When I was a boy EVERYONE was a democrat. Now, no one is, except Blacks. Since blacks make up about 26% of the population of Alabama, the democrats are now forever in the minority here.

Still, the old-time democrats were and are conservatives, first and foremost. That is why I’ve always supported their conversion.

When Shelby switched, I supported him, too, thinking he was simply being true to his conservative roots.

Now I’m not so sure.

I wish I knew the comment. But as it turned out,as I recall, the coment was not racist. Just misconstrued and lied about.Quickly picked up by the DBM and never vetted. Its the best technique the regime employs.Has the bent axel written all over it.

If you want to get historical, ironically, SC, no doubt a conservative state actually gave us obama! During the dem primary zero and hillary were somewhat close. Hillary as I recall, ahead, and then the Chicago thugs accused bubba of being a racist. They used an obscure comment by bubba. I don’t recall now and blew it up way beyond belief. With little time to defend himself hitlery lost the state. The rest fell in unison with the big mo given ozero.
Sad but true.
Probably the ultimate use of the race card eve and the regime has been doing it over and over ever since.

Here’s just one of many links on this:

Good call. The SC cadre of Demoviks did play a role, I remember it now that you mention it.

Listening to the Fox and CBS panels (And I prefer Major Garrett to Ole' Bob, by the way) there is too much settled science in the discussions.

1) Comprehensive Immigration Reform. I have never heard anybody explain what, other than we don't enforce them, is wrong with the current immigration laws that requires a comprehensive reform.

2) 94% of the small companies affected by the employer mandate already provide insurance to their employees, so there was no need to delay implementation of the employer mandate. Of course, that will be dramatically affected by the % of small businesses that do pay the penalty rather than continue the insurance programs, or reduce full-timers to part-timers, or who only hire 29-hour employees, but recognizing that would require more knowledge of business than a reporter can gain watching newspapers run their business model to prosperity.

Found it above.
Evidently bubba claimed that hillary might lose the race since blacks in SC would vote for zero since he was black. About as dumb a comment as you can make but hardly racist. Just true.

Ok....so America wakes up.....

Then what?

Seriously...who or how is any of this get turned back?

As my grandmother always said...you can not turn back time or undo things....

So...seriously....America wakes up....

What are they supposed to do? Bitch, moan, wring their hands, stomp their feet?

Hell only 47% of adults have a full time job...what will they be able to do once they wake up?

53% don’t work full time, what will they do once they wake up?

Most people are slaves to their mortgages, interest on credit cards, college bills, car notes, taxes.....they have elected to put themselves in dire straits...they willingly trapped themselves by thir own means to the new regime...who can easily snag them into a government controlled bondage....

What is happening now has been in the works since the 1950s when people left their farms, abandoned common sense spending with credit cards, families were convinced huge college bills were a must, people left small family run businesses, more debt, people became convinced 2 cars were needed, mothers had to work, more debt, large homes that are worthless, people are trapped in dying cites and communities overrun with creeping crime...

Americans chasing material wealth set themselves up, they selected their bondage that the government is now wrestling over for final control.

Wake up...naw...Americans need to crash and burn back to hand to mouth reality to find the inner strength that drives the human spirit for greatness...or, do what our forefathers did, leave everything behind, find an emerging country, move, learn the language start all over again...

Worked before....

Yeah I recall that one. But I don’t think that was the comment that caused them to lose SC. Its far worse than what he said however.

Isn’t there some sort of axiom here? The longer someone stays in a political party the more easily co-opted they are by the leadership—?? Power and privilege accumulates over time and the party knows how to dole it out and then threaten one’s grasp on it.

By this reckoning, Ted Cruz can’t really remain Ted Cruz without eventually leaving the Republicans. Look at Rubio and Rand Paul. It took them less than a term in office to flop like fish on the deck. Rubio is dead to me as a conservative and Paul is at best a borderliner. But they both have a big future in the Republican party.

Palin has no future in the party because she won’t do what many of the others have already done—sell a piece of herself for a bit of power and privilege.

I’m a de facto “third party person” only because the only national candidate I could fathom has no place in the other two parties.

Always remember, never say never. Sure as heck it will come back to bite ya.

That being said, we need to keep explaining the difficulty in Jeb Bush actually winning. The country is still unsure we want another Bush in the White House. Too many bad memories to simply assume Jeb would be any better than his father or brother. The justified fear is a Jeb Bush candidacy would repeat the mistakes of Dole and McCain. Nor can I envision the Republican base supporting another, more liberal, candidate.

Would read much much better without the crass colloquialisms such as mooselimbs, mooselips and gummit.

History and current events are on the pieces side. Adding those distractions diminishes the pieces impact and casts a shadow over it’s veracity and therefore it’s conclusions.

And John Roberts ruled this was a “tax.” So, can the president simply end any or all taxes by decreeing they are “delayed” or some such—?? Isn’t Obamacare the law? BTW, whatever happened to the law?

I think you are more than right Morgan.Sadly,43 destroyed the Bush brand. He failed to defend himself or the party so many times he almost gave credence to all the lies the left/DBM were making up about him.
