Call your Rep tomorrow morning and tell him/her to tell Boehner not to bring any form of an Amnesty bill to the floor. Don't let up!

Exactly my first thought. He carries on about not sticking his nose into government all these years, but finds it necessary to do so now, in support of amnesty yet again?

How nice to remind us that almost everything that is totally out of control in Obama's presidency was initiated by GWB.

The puppet masters for the RNC don't even care that they've lost their constituency. It's all what's good for them.

I keep telling you--this is the doings of the Bush women who are too lazy to take care of their homes and families, and too cheap to hire on someone honestly to do the work for them.

I saw this when I lived in Texas. Upper class, essentially useless and shiftless women who dressed well and pretty much did nothing else. Well, maybe went to the gym. They had Umberto to do the lawn, Manuela to do the house, and ate out a lot. People, particularly women from the middle classes, sneered at them for keeping slaves in their basement. It used to be that rich women were ashamed of exploiting illegals, but now Laura and Bar and the Insufferable Twins want us to praise them them for being shiftless.

A lot of fans here of Laura. Did you know she's also pro abortion and pro same sex marriage? And I'm sure Cindy McCain hasn't scrubbed a toilet in her whole drug-addled life!

A lot of the RINO problem is simply the wives of the RINOS.

No, Bush tried to stick it to us in his second term with amnesty, but we melted the phones in congress.

Not sure I am. I and many others voted third party in 92. The result - Clinton was elected.

What's worse, he was elected as the economy had already recovered and the Tech Boom was about to take off, so he and the Dems got credit for all of the good that happened. That has left us at a disadvantage ever since, and may help Hillary get into the White House next. Why? Because so many of us went third party.

Pretending that this "GOPe" entity forced the primary voters to choose McCain and Romney is delusional. We keep getting RINOs because the voters elect them, and we'll keep getting them until we win Americans over to Conservative values. Unfortunately, blaming the "GOPe" is the easier way out, but all it will do is divide our vote. The result? The Democrats win.

IMHO.

Bush’s 2007 immigration reform bill, which included a path to citizenship for illegal aliens, was killed by his own Senate Republicans who denounced it as “amnesty.”

“The reason to pass immigration reform is not to bolster a a Republican Party. It's to fix a system that's broken. Good policy yields good politics as far as I'm concerned,” he said.

"I promise to support you on ramming Amnesty down the serfs' throats at just the right time. In the meantime I'll remain as silent as a doormouse as you become Dictator and trash the country."

Why, oh why, did we ever elect this a$$hole? The only justification was that his opponents were worse, but that’s no excuse for the Republicans running this turd! He was a lousy president, and I hate to admit that those who said he was “not bright” were right. Finally, through his inactions ( he was essentially a one issue president, the war, and he failed at that) he handed the presidency to a Maxist half-breed! Way to go GOPe! And to think I sat up nights worrying that he might loose, both times.

From his cowardly response to questions about gay marriage and the Bible... posed to him in Africa last week... and the way he skirted answering those questions by using some platitudes and quoting scripture... one cannot tell what his answer would be if he answered it honestly... because he didn't answer it at all... he a gave a clintonian response to a politically hard question.

Think of it this way. The Republican party is going hard left, and fast. Eventually sodomite marriage will be the law of the land. Do you think the GOP will still stand against it? No....too many of them are already caving. The party will give in completely and officially sanction homo marriage.

Will you still be willing to vote for a party that openly spits in God’s eye, and gives approval to what He calls an abomination?

Think of it this way. The Republican party is going hard left, and fast.

If so, it's because the voters are going hard left. Everybody keeps missing or evading that point.

Eventually sodomite marriage will be the law of the land. Do you think the GOP will still stand against it?

That depends on whether the voters elect true Conservatives or RINOs.

No....too many of them are already caving. The party will give in completely and officially sanction homo marriage.

If/when that happens, it will be because of the leaders the voters chose.

Will you still be willing to vote for a party that openly spits in God’s eye, and gives approval to what He calls an abomination?

Depends. Give me a Conservative third party candidate that has a chance of winning, and I'm in. Otherwise, it comes down to voting for the lesser evil or making it easier for the greater evil to win. We had that choice in 1992, and we ended up with Clinton. I will NOT make that mistake again.

"That depends on whether the voters elect true Conservatives or RINOs."

If they're going left, as you say, they won't elect conservatives. Besides, the GOP has always been moderate; conservatives' views are a barely-tolerated embarrassment.

It "depends" on whether you'll sanction abomination and perversion to win elections? Well, you certainly have the right, but leave me out. There are more important things than elections. I'll never give a vote to a party which calls homosexuals' filthy, germ-ridden anal obsession "marriage." At that point, you might as well sign up and vote leftwing; there'll be no difference.

Moot point. If we don't win Americans over to Conservative values, then consoling ourselves by saying we didn't support RINOs won't change what the Dems do to our freedoms.

No, but Bush criticized conservatives for simply bringing up the marriage issue. He said why should we heterosexuals criticize gays for a “speck” (it’s more than a speck!) in their eyes when we have a “log” in our own eye (a high divorce rate).

This was a direct slam at social conservatives. Regardless of our own sins, we conservatives have an obligation to point out what the Bible says about homosexuality. Why didn’t the Christian Bush do that?

By the way, he did endorse traditional marriage in his 2004 campaign, but very reluctantly. Meanwhile his squishy pro-choice liberal wife told social conservatives not to focus on the marriage issue in the campaign. That’s the same point as her husband is making today. Pretty pathetic.

The GOP is becoming as much of a threat to our freedoms. What's going to be left when amnesty is pushed through? Yet we see one Republican quisling after another coming out to support it. The same will be true of sodomite marriage when they think the time is right. It will be the same poison with different labels.

"They are going left, and we aren't getting Conservatives. I know that blaming it on this "GOPe" entity is easier than trying to win Americans to Conservative values, but the end result is that we'll still lose."

I think this might be true of some of the “upper echelon” Texas elite class. (And may actually be a BIG problem with the entire republican party RINO class). My question, why aren’t the Republican men solid enough in their beliefs to stand up to their wives? If their wives are getting their values from glossy magazines filled with politically correct garbage ideas, and from what all the other junior League wives agree is the politically correct bandwagon du jour, still, the men should stand up and say NO, that is wrong, that is immoral, that will lead to the decay of families and of our country.

We need strong men of character who will not be pushed around by their wives, even if they want to be invited to the best cocktail parties, etc. We need true, godly Christian men of righteousness who are servant leaders of their families as well as of the people the represent, who aren’t afraid of saying no to their spoiled wives. We need to pray that the wives of our representatives will be saved and their hearts will turn back to Christ, that they will be an influence of GOOD and not evil on their husbands.

The GOP is becoming as much of a threat to our freedoms. What's going to be left when amnesty is pushed through? Yet we see one Republican quisling after another coming out to support it.

If the GOP is trying to win the Latino vote with this, it may be because "you", whether that means white, Conservative, Christian, or what not, have not produced enough offspring to be relevant in twenty years.

I agree that they should stop mnesty, but the harsh reality is they can't stop demographics.

The same will be true of sodomite marriage when they think the time is right. It will be the same poison with different labels.

Well then I guess we're going to have to show Americans the folly of this, so they elect representatives who will stop it from happening. Maybe they can help.

Who said anything about blaming an "entity" in place of espousing conservative values? That's your assumption. But I'm under no illusions about where the Republicans are headed.

You did, above, when you said "The GOP is becoming as much of a threat to our freedoms." Again, you ignore that the elected RINOs are just that, ELECTED. Do you have an answer for that?

You keep parroting that same phrase instead of responding to my points.

I am responding to your points with that phrase. "The GOP is becoming as much of a threat to our freedoms." Your words. But who is electing the RINOs you warn against? That's right, the voters. How do we stop them from electing RINOs? By winning them over to Conservative values.

Look, you've admitted that you might vote for the GOP even if the party openly supported sodomite marriage.

I admitted that I won't make it easier for the greater evil to win.

That's your unfortunate choice, but it will never be mine.

No, you choose to make it easier for the greater evil to win. Worse, you choose to allow it to happen, rather than win the voters over to Conservative values, even though that's the only way we can stop this. At least, you haven't offered an alternative that has a chance of succeeding.

(shaking head)

So does the bobble head in my neighbor's car.

I'm not goin’ to $hit on Dubya. He's always been for amnesty. As much as I disagree with him, he's a decent man.

It is very obvious that Jeb is running in 2016. They send George out to test the national response. Jeb also supports amnesty.

It’s time for a no compromise, conservative, third party.

Actually, we can't win as a third party. It's time for conservatives to hijack the Republican Party, just as communists hijacked the Democrat Party.

We need to go all out to win the presidential primaries in 2016. We need to go all out to put real conservatives in the House and in the Senate, both in the 2014/2016 primaries and in the general elections. If the RINO wing takes any primary, we need to put our effort and our money behind real conservatives in other races.

We also need to articulate why freedom is a good thing. We take it for granted, but it's no longer being taught in schools. We need to teach in the public schools if we are retired or if we stayed at home but our kids are now grown. Government, which we have seen as a nuisance, has to become a priority for us - it already is the priority for thugs who want to control government as a source of power over decent people. The Obama voters will win again if we stay on the sidelines or split the non-Democrat vote. We have to dominate the existing Republican Party.

LOL. Suddenly the media and the Democrats (but I repeat myself) discover they LOVE the eeeeeeevil George W Bush, who is to be blamed for every failure of Barack Hussein Obama.

Nice try, libs.

I haven’t heard Bush say he ENDORSED the Senate bill...and EVEN if he did (which he DIDN’T DO!), that has no bearing upon whether it should be passed.
