“I say give them California instead, but they HAVE to keep Hollywood and San Francisco, and leave the rest of the country alone.”

To late they already own it. By the end of this year spanics will be the majority of the population in the state. Within 10 years they will control every legislative and executive position in the state except for some wealthy liberal pockets along the coast. Within 20 years spanish will be the official language of the state and 50 years the new country of El Norte (aztlan) will be formed together with Arizona, new mexico and texas and maybe colorado and will be receive foreign aid from the Socialist State of North America.

What a tragedy that Ronald Reagan felt compelled to put GHWB on the 1980 ticket to gain “moderate” support. What a tragedy that Republican primary voters in 2000 felt compelled to endorse the “conservative” GWB. Republican primary voters nearly always get it wrong, and I fear shall continue to do so. Why some might even decide “the third time is the charm” and support Jebbie for 2016.

I think it is time to logically follow the dots. We will have amnesty now or later. Too many strong forces weigh over the little taxpaying group. The country has & is in disarray & someday we will be just like Yugoslavia was some yrs back.

Before Tito's death or after? Neither situation was good. I saw the country a couple of times back in the late 1970's while he was still dictator. No Thanks. He ruled with an Iron Fist from what parts I saw. A true police state. After his death? I didn't go see that mess. Thanks but no thanks.

But now I’m thinking he wants Carter’s title as the worst ex-prez in our history.

It was Bush’s push for amnesty in 2006-2007 that set then Republicans on the path to defeat in the House, Senate, and White House in 2006-2008.

Who wanted to vote for Republicans who were stabbing the base in the back? Remember Lindsey Graham trying to “toss the bigots out” and Karl Rove saying that we “hate brown people”?

Stay on the ranch George - and keep your brother Jeb there with you.
You’re not wanted.

Unbelievable, isn’t it? Apparently the Hispanics didn’t even support Reagan after he granted them amnesty years ago, yet today’s morons (McCain, Grahamnesty, Rubio, etc.) somehow think amnesty is the ticket to the Hispanic vote.

And as you state, it will do nothing but ensure democrat victories in every race. The Cloward-Piven model will cause our whole economy to collapse, just as they want.

Here, Here!

Let Mexico deal with a million restless young men agitating for change instead of allowing them to export their poverty here to be supported by our middle class.

We already gave an “amnesty/immigration” bill a chance, it didn’t work as described. I do believe it worked as intended. Why should we believe you this time? Proponets have been lying about securing the border, why believe them about anything? NO AMNESTY. JUST ENFORCE EXISTING LAW.

We will never be able to undo the damage caused by the last amnesty how much damage can we sustain by trying it again.

The Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr., used to chant: “Give Peace a Chance”. He also had another line that thrilled American liberals for a time: “Up with Hope, Down with Dope.” The American people could fall for anything; we know this because they have already done so.

The problem we have in 2016 is that a sizeable number of Republican primary voters are yearning once more for another Bush. They are convinced that Jebbie will finally get it right. Our primary voters nearly always disappoint.

When you re-register Independent you cut off your nose to spite your face because it increases the clout of liberals in the Republican primaries. And our little primary voters are already dumb enough without conservatives leaving the ranks.

Also, people in TX Republican ranks appear to be yearning for another George Bush — George P. for Land Commissioner, who has little opposition at this stage.

Everyone who locks his doors at night knows why a well-maintained border fence is needed.

America can welcome the illegal immigrants we already have — if we can just STOP THE FLOOD of new illegals.

I think that, if a non-patriot should try to claim that the fence “...won’t keep any illegals out...”, then ask him why, if his claim is “true”, he is SOOOOoooo opposed to that fence.

Hmmm....?

What’s the Spanish word for “liar”

Kalifornistan has open primaries so I can vote for whomever I want w/o spiting my or anyone else's face. I also have the added advantage of not having either party barrage me with their junk mail seeking contributions supporting their liberal candidates and causes.

I never understood why liberal democRATs hated Bush so much when he is perhaps the most liberal Republican to ever occupy the WH.

I've often wondered the same. George W. Bush and Richard Nixon were the two most liberal Republicans of the 20th century, yet they were the ones most hated by liberals, and often misguidedly loved by conservatives.

I suppose the answer is that image and rhetoric trump policy. Both Bush and Nixon talked tough and sounded patriotic, which for both their enemies and their supporters was more important than the socially and economically liberal policies that they actually signed into law (or tried to).

Exactly! Why should the American taxpayers pay for that removal of pressure that would have been brought to the Mexican government to improve the situation?
