His position on abortion is gross.

You mean this position?

20 January 2012. "The proper function of government is to protect individual rights--life, liberty, and property. I believe that life begins at conception, and it is unconscionable that government would sanction the taking of the helpless and innocent. I will always vote against government funding of abortion and will fight to protect life at all stages. I am proud to meet Right to Life of Michigan PAC's endorsement criteria as a candidate for Congress."

Yes indeed, that certainly is gross. What a gross liberal this guy must be. I need to start blindly following Karl Rove's lead.

Amash talks a good talk.

However, he was one of only 7 Repubs to vote against banning abortions based on gender selection.

"To say it another way, of the 242 current House Republicans, Mr. Amash ranks number 236, or in the bottom 3 percent, with respect to his pro-life voting record," Douglas Johnson - National Right to Life Committee.

229 of the GOP in the House have a 100% NRLC rating. Amash is 62%.

You're making the common mistake of basing your opinion on what a politician says rather than what he does. Many libertarians are NOT social conservatives...Amash falls into this category.
