Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on Tuesday said that she is considering running for Senate in 2014.
Appearing on Sean Hannitys radio program, Palin also reiterated that she would consider supporting a third party if Republicans dont return to their conservative roots (video courtesy MoFoPolitics)
~~snip~~
Im glad you brought that up, she continued, because Senator Mark Begich (D-Ak.) has got to be replaced. He has not done what he has promised to do for the people of Alaska.
For those wondering, Begich is up for re-election in 2014.
If you think that whoever is running doesnt have the ability to win, and you think you could, would that propel you into the race you think? asked Hannity.
Well, I think any American with a heart for service has to always have in the back of their mind that they would do anything, everything that they could to help the cause even if purpose if its something that doesnt look necessarily appealing or necessarily fitting in with a conventional plan that they would try to orchestrate for themselves and their family, Palin answered. I along with anybody would have to say that I would do whatever I could to help. And if that was part of that help, then it would have to be considered.
A poll conducted by Harper Polling in May found Palin leading other Republican primary contenders to face Begich in 2014.
Momma Grizz goes to Washington.
Aim higher, Sarah!!!
Got my hopes up there, was hoping she’d replace Murkowski!
When I saw the headline, I was hoping she was talking about plans to replace McCain.
I disagree. She essentially said that the current candidates are inadequate and if a better alternative doesn’t emerge she may run herself.
I think that’s more than boilerplate and newsworthy.
You can run for President as a rookie Senator, just ask obongo. Sarah at least has executive experience, can get through a speech without a teleprompter, and she actually loves America.
She would make a great Senator—she actually knows how to articulate the word “NO”.
She’s had enough time on the sidelines. We really need that Senate seat and she’d be the best candidate. If she choose to not run I don’t think she will be taken seriously in the future. Look at all the other phonies-former governors- who chose not to run for winnable senate seats but ran for the WH instead. There’s Huckabee, Thompson, let me think.
Sarah must balance the viciousness that will be launched against her family against what good she believes she can accomplish.
She has my support, however she decides.
Run, Sarah Run!
She's a snowbird - has residency in both states.
Like Cruz?
I hope and pray she will stay above the congressional/D.C. malaise and keep her optimistic outlook. If anyone can, she can. Maybe even get in a little hand-to-hand combat with our nemesis in the WH. Would love to see that. Could be some good experience for her.
This would be great. Tina Fey would then be able to see Sarah Palin up on Capitol Hill from her house at the bottom of the box office receipts list.
I’m moving to AZ. Do you know where she lives in AZ?
Excellent idea!
Might have been her time, but it wasn’t her family’s time as far as she was concerned, IMO. She put her family’s well being and protection from the vicious and venomous MSM before the country. Those are good priorities. God bless her.
You’re probably right, but we’re all like Charlie Brown with Lucy when it comes to Sarah. All she has to do is put the football on the ground and we come ‘a runnin’.
YES PLEASE.
like bozo left his seats early you mean.
