I thought she and her family moved to AZ and established residency there after the 2008 election cycle.

She's a snowbird - has residency in both states.

I’m not sure this is a good idea since Conservatives in the senate have been corrupted by McCain and Schumer.

Like Cruz?

I don't know exactly why I'm thinking this, but it seems to me that if she is in the Senate first, somehow she may feel like her family will not be such an MSM target when she runs for POTUS. This might be her path to POTUS.

I hope and pray she will stay above the congressional/D.C. malaise and keep her optimistic outlook. If anyone can, she can. Maybe even get in a little hand-to-hand combat with our nemesis in the WH. Would love to see that. Could be some good experience for her.

This would be great. Tina Fey would then be able to see Sarah Palin up on Capitol Hill from her house at the bottom of the box office receipts list.

Might have been her time, but it wasn’t her family’s time as far as she was concerned, IMO. She put her family’s well being and protection from the vicious and venomous MSM before the country. Those are good priorities. God bless her.

I am in... $500.00 as soon as she announces... and I live thousands of miles away! Cruz and Palin in the Senate... mitch mcconnell with a bloody nose... mccain mumbling to himself as he walks through the halls and harry reid hanging upside down from a Senate ceiling fan... man what a dream!

She considered it for almost half of the 2012 election cycle.

If she considers it again, let’s hope she is a bit quicker to make up her mind.

While I would love to see her in the Senate, they will nail her on leaving Governorship before term was up.

the voters of Alaska understand and appreciate why she left the governorship early better than anyone.

It won't be an issue.

Palin said, “Well, I think any American with a heart for service has to always have in the back of their mind that they would do anything, everything that they could to help the cause even if purpose if it’s something that doesn’t look necessarily appealing or necessarily fitting in with a conventional plan that they would try to orchestrate for themselves and their family,” Palin answered. “I along with anybody would have to say that I would do whatever I could to help. And if that was part of that help, then it would have to be considered.”

I heard the 15 minute Hannity phone interview and I think Sean feels he got her to say she IS considering running for U.S. Senate. In fact, she has said nothing different than she has been saying all along. She HAS turned up the volume lately, however, and some folks are trying to put words in her mouth about her plans to run for office.

Yes, she is the wrong Palin to run for that Senate Seat... Todd Palin should run, think about it, it is deviously brilliant and out of the box.

Actually, if you review Todd's and Sarah's history together, this is something that could indeed be a real possibility and just might work.

Follow the Obama 2-year Senate stepping stone to higher office? Hard for Libs to complain (though we know they will).

She could begin her campaign for the nomination after 200 days in the Senate, just like BHO did.

Hannity does serve the RINO interests and I guess they would prefer to park her in a Senate race in Alaska in 2014
than have her touring the rest of the country taking out RINO’s in primaries.

But if she chooses to run, she has my support including $$$$.

Good. If she actually puts some skin in the game and stops sitting around sniping at other Republicans or fancying herself the leader of a third party, I might regain some of the respect I had for her when she was nominated for VP. I know she was upset by the outcome of that campaign and the attacks on her, but if you’re in politics, that’s life. Especially if you’re a conservative.

I would be thrilled if she regains her political legitimacy by running for office again!

The Palins bought a house in AZ because of the very depressed housing market in that state. It was a good buy. They are still Alaskans. Many Northerners own homes in the south just to escape a few months of winter. Nothing political about it.

Sarah Palin is not going to run for the Senate, not now, not ever. She is a leader who focuses on results. The Senate is not a place oriented towards achieving results. It is a place good capable leaders go to die.

I believe the only way the Palins will ever choose to live inside the beltway is in the White House.

Frankly, I’d like to see that lame theory tested. My anecdotal evidence here in deep blue Illinois (but red in Central IL) is that no one will care about it. Almost everybody I ask either A) doesn’t even know what happened, or B) knows and respects her choice, or C) knows and had no intention of voting for her anyway, based on pure ideology.

Yes, you are correct. This line of reasoning is usually the position of concern trolls(i.e. either Ron or Rand Paul supporters), people who are ignorant and simply are accepting the words of a media that is completely left-wing, or simply a Democrat, Moderate, Progressive, or Marxist who are literally scared out of their mind because they know how much Governor Palin with her sincerity, fidelity to principle, straightforwardness, bluntness and her excellent ability to communicate all of this resonate with the base.

In other words, they know she would wipe the floor with their candidate they are supporting, whether that candidate is some stripe of e-GOP or Left-wing.

On the other hand, it would give her a chance to enlighten people on the true story behind why she left. I think that would GAIN her points with the public.

He has not done what he has promised to do for the people of Alaska.

Is this true? I don't know of anything socialistic that Begich did NOT endorse in his campaign. AK people have two liberal senators who make ol' Ted Stevens seem less bad than he was.

Is this true? Are there recent polls on Palin’s electability in Alaska?

It's no secret that I've been saying for some time that I think a run for the US Senate could be the best way for Palin to return to the national stage. Even with modern communications and travel, Alaska is so far away from the rest of the “Lower 48” that there are real logistical problems with an incumbent Alaskan governor doing the sort of public speaking and “meet and greet” that is necessary to be politically relevant in the modern American environment. Contrary to some of what is being said here, the US Senate is one of the highest profile megaphones in Washington, D.C., and along with state governorships, has historically been one of the major tracks followed by candidates for the presidency or other national positions. For a resident of a small and isolated state like Alaska, serving in the Senate, especially after time in other state and local offices and the governorship, could be a very good idea.

The complication is that a Sarah Palin run for the US Senate would attract massive national media attention and inject huge amounts of money, not only for her but also for her opponents. We can assume that the Murkowski machine will try to find someone to run against her in the Republican Primary, and the national Democratic Party will raise as much money as they can, not only to defend a current Senate seat but also to prevent Palin from future activities.

If the result of national media attention and tens of millions of dollars of outside money getting injected into the campaign is that Palin loses a race in Alaska, it would be very difficult for her to recover politically.

The question then becomes, can she do more good campaigning for other Republican senate candidates than running for the senate herself? History has shown that Palin has made a difference in senate races in the last few elections. If she’s stumping for other conservatives she could make the difference that could lead to half a dozen new senators. If she runs for the Alaska seat and wins then she brings in just one.

But as other Freepers have pointed out, it would give a reason and outlet to explain it. That is a good point.

As a side note to Sarah Palin possibly running for Senate, please consider the following. I don’t know if this scenario is possible in the next election cycle, but if conservatives can win 2/3 majority control of both Houses of Congress in 2014 then they will have the authority under the Constitution’s Clause 2 of Section 7 of Article I to override presidential vetoes. With such power they can repeal constitutonally indefensible Obamacare without Obama’s approval, and also impeach both Obama and actist justices (heck, impeach all the justices). Note that impeaching Obama and justices probably doesn’t require 2/3 support of each House.

Well, that's a pretty hostile response to a benign comment. Sarah -- like it or not [and I don't] -- will never win a national election. She has a shot at a Senate seat and I hope she goes for it.

Really, are you really such a wuss? You see hostility where there is none. And STILL unable to answer the question, but change the subject and give 'your opinion' on her.

will never win a national election. She has a shot at a Senate seat and I hope she goes for it.

She has more than a shot at anything because she serves a God who directs her path. It's what HE wants for her and not some wuss who has an 'opinion' of her 'options'. God sees the majority chooses to be conned and they have no use for goodness as they stand for nothing. They choose to be useful tools to maggot politicians.

So enjoy being 'used' for you are way too fearful to be any good for anything productive - as a question is considered hostile to you and one you are unable to answer. Hide under a rock because it's going to get worse and you will fold like a cheap suitcase if 'they' ask you a question.

Then you saw the hostility in your own post. Next time maybe you will recognize ‘a question’ and be able to answer instead of attacking. But reading your comment on Sarah, I doubt it.

Don’t talk about Christianity - you made it very clear you know nothing about it since all you have done so far is attack.
