Frankly, I’d like to see that lame theory tested. My anecdotal evidence here in deep blue Illinois (but red in Central IL) is that no one will care about it. Almost everybody I ask either A) doesn’t even know what happened, or B) knows and respects her choice, or C) knows and had no intention of voting for her anyway, based on pure ideology.

Yes, you are correct. This line of reasoning is usually the position of concern trolls(i.e. either Ron or Rand Paul supporters), people who are ignorant and simply are accepting the words of a media that is completely left-wing, or simply a Democrat, Moderate, Progressive, or Marxist who are literally scared out of their mind because they know how much Governor Palin with her sincerity, fidelity to principle, straightforwardness, bluntness and her excellent ability to communicate all of this resonate with the base.

In other words, they know she would wipe the floor with their candidate they are supporting, whether that candidate is some stripe of e-GOP or Left-wing.

Please don’t confuse me for a troll. I ADORE Sarah! I just know how they skewered in the media when they DIDN’T have a publicly known issue that doesn’t look that good.

But as other Freepers have pointed out, it would give a reason and outlet to explain it. That is a good point.
