LOS ANGELES (AP) — District Attorney Jackie Lacey said Tuesday her office will challenge a Northern California judge's decision to release a sexually violent predator in Los Angeles County.

Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Gilbert Brown granted convicted serial rapist Christopher Evans Hubbart, 62, a conditional release from custody in May.

The decision was made despite an argument against it by a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney in May, spokeswoman Jean Guccione said.

According to the district attorney's office, Hubbart has acknowledged raping 40 women in California between 1971 and 1982, including 26 women in Los Angeles County.

This evil scumbag confessed to raping 40 women, but now some other evil scumbags are trying to get him released from prison. If he gets released and commits any more rapes, those who helped him to get released should be charged as accessories to rape.

I suggest they release him and publish his address.

I tend to think that enough people are so fed up now that they may hire someone to exterminate that creature. Think Cosa Nostra or Mexican Mafia or just a plain stupid gang-banger who wants some money. I'm not suggesting anything, just saying I wouldn't be surprised.

Is there a name for type of hunting where the prey is released with a head start and then the hunters are allowed after it?

He should be let off at the judge’s home. I hope the judge has a wife and daughters.

People should take the time to read this article. This guy was first convicted of rape and related crimes in '72, then paroled in '79. Back on the street, he raped an average of two women a month until being caught again in '81. Convicted in '82, he was paroled again in '90 but was promptly rearrested and convicted for another assault two months later. His latest prison term ended in '96 but he was then civilly committed for treatment. He is now being released once again, apparently on the theory that the third time is the charm. The hiccup is that he is being sprung by a Santa Clara judge who wants to turn him loose in LA, while the LA lawyers are arguing that he should be released in Santa Clara. But all of California's legal geniuses agree that he should be freed, just in someone else's neighborhood.

California: Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Dunno what the name might be, but there was a movie I saw in the mid-sixties called "Naked Prey". I think, about some captured white guy the natives in Africa let loose for them to hunt down.

You would think at least one of the rape victims would have a relative that would like to make the acquaintance of this clown and put him out of his misery.

Release him...and make him live on prison grounds like Lawrence Singleton, the guy that raped Mary Vincent and chopped off her arms. No town would take him.

Now this is what War on Women is...where’s Obama? He involved himself in the Zimmerman trial...where’s the DNC, they were all over any Republican who spoke of rape and abortion.

Maybe this rapist should declare himself a Democrat and run for office then Los Angeles Leftists will welcome him.
