Defense rests; Zimmerman won't testify in murder trial
Fox News ^ | July 10, 2013

George Zimmerman’s defense team rested its case Wednesday, after using its final day of testimony to paint the neighborhood watch volunteer as a wimp who was getting pummeled when he shot Trayvon Martin in self-defense, at one point commandeering a mannequin introduced by prosecutors in order to re-enact its version of the fight.

Zimmerman did not take the stand, though his team left the option open until the last minute, with Zimmerman finally telling Judge Debra Nelson he would not testify. The conclusion of the defense’s case came in the afternoon, after a day of testimony highlighted by attorney Mark O’Mara straddling the mannequin and slamming its head against the floor while asking a witness if such violence could have caused head wounds shown in photos of Zimmerman taken after the Feb. 26, 2012 confrontation.

So not cool. Is there no integrity at all in our federal government? Is there no accountability?

...to paint the neighborhood watch volunteer as a wimp who was getting pummeled...

Who wrote this crap? I notice "The Associated Press contributed to this report.".

He won - why should he? This should have never gone to trial - it’s an abuse of the system...and the media should be held accountable for inciting riots and all else that will come down the “hate pipe”...I hope those reporters are standing out doing their little news casts and the rioters they inflamed come around the corner...let them taste their own poison!

None discernible.

Is there no accountability?

There will be.

It won't be pretty...

Shouldn’t take an honest jury more than 15 minutes to reach a verdict.

So if GZ gets convicted, do we burn our houses down?

I think it would have been foolish for him to take the stand.

Putting him on the stand would be the height of legal irresponsibility!

Wow, the prosecution wants to bring in past Zimmerman arrest; however, judge won’t allow Trayvon past problems. She will rule tomorrow. This is nothing but a crock.

“Amen to that.”

To all of you who believe in the power of prayer, get on your knees today and pray that this jury will do it’s job devoid of any PC influence. The fact that the Blacks may want to do some rioting if Zimmerman isn’t convicted, is no reason for justice not to prevail. GZ needs to know that decent people across the country expect no less.

I don not expect these 6 women to come to an honest verdict. They will want to mollify and will wrongfully convict on a lesser charge.

Just my opinion. I hope I’m wrong.
