Senate Republicans: Permanently Delay the Implementation of Obamacare

All 45 Senate Republicans are calling for the implementation of Obamacare to be permanently delayed. The senators make their request in a letter to President Obama.

"We write to express concern that in your recent decision to delay implementation of the employer mandate, you have unilaterally acted and failed to work with Congress on such a significant decision. Further, while your action finally acknowledges some of the many burdens this law will place on job creators, we believe the rest of this law should be permanently delayed for everyone in order to avoid significant economic harm to American families," the senators write.

In response to questions about the administration’s decision, your senior advisor Valerie Jarrett said, “We are listening,” while referring to the concerns of the business community over the onerous employer mandate that will result in fewer jobs and employees working fewer hours. We have been listening as well, and as more employers have attempted to understand your burdensome requirements in the Affordable Care Act, the louder their outrage has become.

I’d delay implementing it for everyone except the people who got waivers.

"...to avoid significant economic harm to American families."

They really need to stop writing in this kind of milquetoasty 1986-era rhetoric.

All 45 Senate Republicans

McConnell, Boehner, GOP leadership should be making the rounds on the TV news and newstalk radio asking for bipartisanship on their request, since some Dems have already called Obamacare a train wreck.

They should be asking, "Where's the bipartisanship? The Democrat leadership are always wanting bipartisanship -- from the Republicans -- when they want something passed."

if ALL in the congress were made to uphold their oaths of office, they would be required to remove the obozo and overturn everything the obozo has put in place by his EOs and the laws he has signed, to include removing Kagen and Sotomeyer from the supreme court.

What’s the difference between ‘permanently delay’ and ‘repeal’?

I say let them implement all of it on schedule. The public must feel the pain. Delay just buys time and political advantage for the Dems. The parts of the bill that the public likes have already been implemented never to be repealed.

I believe certain RINO/republicans are happy to have Obamacare resurface as an issue so it will draw attention away from the fact they are ready to capitulate on an immigration/amnesty bill.

If real republicans want to do their job and earn their keep they can let Obamacare implode under the weight of its own deficiencies and flaws while they concentrate on killing any move to pass an immigration bill out of the house.

Let Obamacare go down and take the democrats with it.

Odds are a million to one they will do just the opposite.

Too late, the Obamacar is already being produced by Chevy. Its sales are dismal, and they have a problem with the battery catching on fire.
