If Obama decrees it,

You must convict.

I pity what Zimmerman is going through. He loses either way, but I’d rather have my life and take my chances on the outside. He’ll be dead and quickly in prison.

I’d say you’re placing too much faith in your ‘peers’.

And there are many”Hispanics” who have no Southern European blood but came from Germany or France or from England or Ireland but have been living in a Spanish speaking culture for generations.

Excellent and why the whole notion of 'Hispanic' is absurd, followed closely by the term Latino. A Guatamalan is not a Mexican is not a Chilean and they don't think so either.

The HIGHLY irresponsible and incredible presidential "If I had a son, why he'd look like Trayvon" was black code to his People to race riot EN-MASSE from sea to shining sea if things don't go their way on the Zimmerman verdict, and "The Man" accused of "offing" "the innocent brother" goes scott free. Its worse because, for all that happened to Rodney King, he got beat up and recovered, and on this case, the combatant lost his life. Very volatile.

This (kind of stupid comment like the Boston Professor Break-In resulting in a "beer summit" with the President and VP Dumbass), was even worse than Nixon opening his big trap about Charles Manson right during the trial.

Regarding the discipline or removal of Judges in Florida...

How Judges Are Disciplined for Misconduct

The Judicial Qualifications Commission is an independent agency created by the Florida Constitution solely to investigate alleged misconduct by Florida state judges. It is not a part of the Florida Supreme Court or the state courts and operates under rules it establishes for itself. It has its own Website. The JQC has no authority over federal judges or judges in other states. Complaints against state judges must be filed in writing with the JQC, not with the Supreme Court or any other state court or judge. Neither the Supreme Court nor its Chief Justice have any authority to investigate alleged misconduct by state judges or to investigate the JQC. The JQC can be reached via the Contact Information on its website or at at:

The State of Florida must be desperate to put Zimmerman away. How about illegal parking?

How do you like yesterday, when she kept asking GZ if he wanted to testify, and his lawyer kept saying “I object” and she kept saying “Overruled! Overruled!” I never seen anything like that in my life. WTF? She was basically removing his lawyer in an attempt to get him to screw himself. This case is unreal.

“Oh I see, so all the Mexicans in East LA call themselves Mestizo’??”

I never said that. Mexicans in LA probably call themselves Mexican or Latino

“Where in tarnation are you from?”

A place where no one says tarnation. :)

Anything to get him into prison....she has her orders.

Sounds like a "community organizer" got to her. That, or the Bloods or Crips.

Either way she's trying to distance herself from a GUILTY verdict.

Seems to me the prosecutor went for all or nothing. Now he’s beginning to see what the rest of us saw all along. He’s about to wind up with zip. Desperate, he now seeks to add in the charges others were saying he should have from the onset.

What bothers me most about this late in the game tactic, is that the defense didn’t have the ability to address these lesser charges throughout the trial.

They provided a defense against the charges brought. Now the prosecutor is trying to change the charges after the fact, and after the defense has nearly rested their complete defense.

How is that fair? Witnesses could have been asked questions, evidence could have been submitted, and the tactics of the defense could have been different realizing they had to impress the jury that lesser charges were not applicable too.

People have made a big stink out of the fact the judge asked Zimmerman himself if he was going to testify. That seemed to them to be prejudicial. Judges do this. They want to hear from the individual themselves that they are making this decision of their own free will. It helps shut down a defense move later on that the defendant wanted to testify, but was not allowed to by his attorney.

Point is, I don’t understand everything that goes on in court. Perhaps it’s reasoned to add in these extra charges. To me, a lay person, it doesn’t seem fair at all. That said, it may be something that happens all the time.

Doesn’t seem reasoned to me.

"cajoling" - the perfect description.

I was amazed.

"Pleeeze? Pretty PLEEZE? C'mon... Really??? Awwww... Are you sure? ABSOLUTELY sure??? Awwww. No? Are you telling the truth? Think about it again. Let me ask you another way... Please. Really?"

There is nothing for the judge to consider unless she’s thinking of making it a parking violation.

Misdemeanor theft - loss of Skittles.

I think the decent folk of Florida are outnumbered now

Agree.

Live in SE Fla originally from Pa.

Many Fla residents are from lib states.

Native Floridians are great people, and not necessarily tainted by PC indoctrination learned in prior states.

That`s why in the closing, Mark O has to say at some point, manslaughter or assault still gets him heavy prison time. I know he is not supposed to say it, but there is a way to slip it in sounding almost unintentional.

The prosecutor will stand up and object, The crooked judge will spank him and tell jury to disregard, but I think it`s worth getting it out there in some fashion

The risk (and a significant one, with this judge) is that the prosecution would ask for, and the judge will grant, a mistrial. This trial has gone very, very well for Zimmerman - the possibility of having to do it all over again is not something he would want to risk.

This is not a “late-game” tactic. This stage of trial is often when the parties start making motions about what sort of instructions the jury will and will not receive. And, manslaughter is a “Category 1” lesser-included offense under Florida law, meaning (as I understand it) that if one party requests an instruction for it, the judge MUST give it.
