Darwin Groves, the business's manager, left, and Donald Sampson, owner, stand with a sign that calls for George Zimmerman's innocence, which is located outside of their business Monday, July 8, 2013 at 120 S. Center St. in Flint. George Zimmerman is currently being tried in the 2012 murder case of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla.
FLINT, MI George Zimmerman the Florida man on trial for a charge of second-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin has a cheering section nearly 1,200 miles away at a Flint business.
Donald Sampson, owner of Junk Iron & Metal, 120 S. Center Road, has a large sign posted in front of his business that reads, Justice for George Zimmerman not guilty."
I put up the sign because I think its wrong of the judge over the case to excuse the jury during the testimony of the lead investigator on the case, Sampson said.
Sampson made reference to the fact that the judge dismissed parts of testimony from Sanford, Fla. police investigator Chris Serino who called into question Zimmerman's credibility. The judge called it an "improper comment" for one witness to question another's credibility.
I was an officer for 10 years and Im currently a licensed (private investigator). Ive never, in all my years in law enforcement, heard of anything like that. Hes the lead investigator. His testimony is critical. Thats silly of the judge.
Sampson said that he feels Zimmerman was justified in defending himself against the attacks of Martin. The sign has been in place for nearly a week....

And I like the “closed Sundays” panel as much or better.
Gutsy in this 24/7 phoney-baloney economy
No kidding. He’ll probably be one of the first businesses firebombed if and when a not guilty verdict is rendered.
Very gutsy. Now, where are their sons and grandsons, and their friends?
THANK GOODNESS some people have the courage. More people think like this than think like Holder’s rent a mob.
NOT GUILTY OR YOU ARE A RACIST...
In addition to the poster, they painted a big target on their roof.
These guys are slick...
Hope they stocked up on ammo.
And balls like church bells. Hope they’re OK in the days ahead.
“Hell probably be one of the first businesses firebombed ...”
Those good ol’ boys look like they’ed be ready for someone to try that.
Given the information in the article, I suspect any firebombing of Sampson's business will go no further than "attempted", and probably with the attempted firebomber ending up with a Molotov cocktail suppository.
Holding down the Fort on Sunday.
Not that slick. LOL
Not guilty and I am a racist!
They are on the verge of baiting.
Looks like the feller on the right has a Ruger Mini 14. Good choice!
The only problem is they're dragging them down main street in front of one of these...
Yeah - perhaps technically correct wording. They just omit the part that the answer to the “question” was YES! (That it was credible).
How do you handle a problem like sharia?
Or ‘Boys in the Hood’?
Firepower, my FRiend.
I hope so, and I hope they heavily armed and ready to shoot. If those guys are actually in Flint proper, they need all the help they can get. They are almost in the belly of the beast. More like it’s pancreas.
Is that better that the armpit?
We could go South instead of North. Just sayin’. Actually, I suppose Detoilet is the nasty exit-orifice.
Flint, MI demographics (2010)... 37.4% White, 56.6% African American
It’s good to see that patriots still exist.
Love the Banzai Bandanas. Nice touch.
It was war. Them against the forces of evil.
I guess the, "cracker", punched himself in the nose and beat his head against the concrete. This really bothers me. After what I witnessed during OJ's trial, and now the crazy remarks, like the one above, I'm beginning to think either blacks have no grasp of reality, or they hate whites so much they think they should be allowed to kill them with impunity.
When the OJ verdict was about to be rendered, I walked over to watch it in the service department of my husband's business. The door was open. The only employee there at the time was a black man, Dewayne, who was in his early forties. This man and my husband had both worked together for a company that had gone out of business. My husband started his company and hired Dewayne and three other technicians who had worked for the same place. We'd known him for more than ten years, and considered him more a friend than an employee. Dewayne had his back to me when I came into the room and had no idea anyone was with him. When the Not Guilty verdict was read, Dewayne pumped his fist into the air and said, "Yea!" Then he noticed me standing there and said "He's guilty you know." I said "I know", and walked out. To this day I'm shocked. I would never have thought this man would ever have found joy in a murderer going free.
He will be firebombed, no matter what the verdict is. In fact, I am surprised it hasn't yet.
That may be the plan...Have some great insurance and wait to collect. I’m not sure what the situation is like in Flint, but if it’s remotely close to Detroit this would be a first class ticket out of Michigan.
Flint and Detroit are not even close. Flint is much, much worse.
