'Justice for George Zimmerman' sign at Flint business calls for not guilty verdict

Darwin Groves, the business's manager, left, and Donald Sampson, owner, stand with a sign that calls for George Zimmerman's innocence, which is located outside of their business Monday, July 8, 2013 at 120 S. Center St. in Flint. George Zimmerman is currently being tried in the 2012 murder case of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla.

FLINT, MI – George Zimmerman – the Florida man on trial for a charge of second-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin – has a cheering section nearly 1,200 miles away at a Flint business.

Donald Sampson, owner of Junk Iron & Metal, 120 S. Center Road, has a large sign posted in front of his business that reads, “Justice for George Zimmerman not guilty."

“I put up the sign because I think it’s wrong of the judge over the case to excuse the jury during the testimony of the lead investigator on the case,” Sampson said.

Sampson made reference to the fact that the judge dismissed parts of testimony from Sanford, Fla. police investigator Chris Serino who called into question Zimmerman's credibility. The judge called it an "improper comment" for one witness to question another's credibility.

“I was an officer for 10 years and I’m currently a licensed (private investigator). I’ve never, in all my years in law enforcement, heard of anything like that. He’s the lead investigator. His testimony is critical. That’s silly of the judge.”

Sampson said that he feels Zimmerman was justified in defending himself against “the attacks of Martin.” The sign has been in place for nearly a week....

And balls like church bells

The only problem is they're dragging them down main street in front of one of these...

Yeah - perhaps technically correct wording. They just omit the part that the answer to the “question” was YES! (That it was credible).

I hope so, and I hope they heavily armed and ready to shoot. If those guys are actually in Flint proper, they need all the help they can get. They are almost in the belly of the beast. More like it’s pancreas.

I think the reporter totally misconscrewed what Sampson told him because it is about back-asswards of what happened.

“They need to stick to the facts. Trayvon did not attack George. Trayvon was minding his own business. I guess Trayvon walking while black was justification enough for both George and this business owner.”

I guess the, "cracker", punched himself in the nose and beat his head against the concrete. This really bothers me. After what I witnessed during OJ's trial, and now the crazy remarks, like the one above, I'm beginning to think either blacks have no grasp of reality, or they hate whites so much they think they should be allowed to kill them with impunity.

When the OJ verdict was about to be rendered, I walked over to watch it in the service department of my husband's business. The door was open. The only employee there at the time was a black man, Dewayne, who was in his early forties. This man and my husband had both worked together for a company that had gone out of business. My husband started his company and hired Dewayne and three other technicians who had worked for the same place. We'd known him for more than ten years, and considered him more a friend than an employee. Dewayne had his back to me when I came into the room and had no idea anyone was with him. When the Not Guilty verdict was read, Dewayne pumped his fist into the air and said, "Yea!" Then he noticed me standing there and said "He's guilty you know." I said "I know", and walked out. To this day I'm shocked. I would never have thought this man would ever have found joy in a murderer going free.

No kidding. He’ll probably be one of the first businesses firebombed if and when a not guilty verdict is rendered.

He will be firebombed, no matter what the verdict is. In fact, I am surprised it hasn't yet.

That may be the plan...Have some great insurance and wait to collect. I’m not sure what the situation is like in Flint, but if it’s remotely close to Detroit this would be a first class ticket out of Michigan.

Flint and Detroit are not even close. Flint is much, much worse.
