Some FReepers had pointed it out a while back. The Regime is deliberately demoting or destroying the careers of generals and COs to emplace their own political appointees. At some point, the military will cease to be an entity of trust and will become the enemy.

A soldier involved in a physical altercation - “You can’t fight in here - this is the war room!”

I was inducted there, but took BCT at Ft Gordon. That was really my first taste of the Old South. And I loved it. The South, that is.

I think the usual way to do this is to privately confront the officer and suggest resignation in lieu of court martial.

Its strange, I went to Parris Island MCRD down in the south, back in the mid 70’s, and as I recall it, I didn’t have a good time at all.

Nor did I ... and I was there a decade earlier. Today PI has a female General as base commander. In my era our senior commanding officer was Major General Murray, two time recipient of the Navy Cross in addition to the Silver Star. All from WWII & Korean War action. Times change.
