My plastic model airplanes I had as a kid used to break when I tried to make them fly.

This is what they get for trying to go green. and they subcontracted out it’s development to places like Korea, Italy, France and India-instead of building it from the ground up in Everett.

Looking more and more like a disaster everyday.

If only the turn-around happened, nobody would pay it any mind, these kinds of things happen quite often.

The one on fire generates a lot of buzz, but ultimately this is like the shark attacks and the MSM from a few years ago - stuff happens all the time, and on slow newsdays they can ramp up the hype where there is nothing.

I would rather strap myself to a railroad tanker car carrying oil than fly. ;-)

Fire appears to have occurred in or near the crew rest compartment.

My own thought is that this has much more to do with opening the North Carolina non-union plant than any mechanical part of the plane.

First of all, union labor does NOT equal quality. Second, I don’t think this tail was built in SC—can you prove that it was?

I would respectfully ask you to think bigger, much bigger.

Think of destroying the reputation of the 787, and eventually, of Boeing.

Liberals would burn down their own neighborhood rather than see it lived in without them.

Think of the LA riots, just is simply a different facet of the same rock.

Yup. If they can't have the planes built by unionized workers in Washington state, then there's no way they're going to allow them to be built by non-unionized workers in SC.

The term "sabotage" comes from a French (I think) labor dispute where the aggrieved workers tossed their shoes ("Sabot") into the machinery.

And witness what happened with Hostess just recently. Riled-up union workers can be incredibly self-destructive.
