I agree. The GOP needs to provide smart solutions to the immigration problem.
We need to secure the border. But we also have to do something with the 12 million illegals here.
Like one of our conservative heroes has said, it is not economically possible and not humane to round up 12 million people and ship them out of the nation.
So what do we do with them?
Like another Republican said some years ago, no one sneaks into the amusement park when the rides are shut down for the night.
No more free education - K through 12 and into college. Have immigration agents at the schools. When they show up, arrest them.
No more welfare, food stamps, whatever. When they show up at the place to sign up for that stuff, have immigration there to arrest them.
Enforce the law on not hiring them. Start at construction sites, Home Depots, wherever the illegals gather in the morning to get hired. Have immigration agents at these places. When they show up, arrest them.
No more free medical services. Have immigraton agents at the hospitals and clinics. When they show up, arrest them.
No more driver licences. When they show up at the DMVs, have immigration already there to arrest them.
Have Federal immigration work with all levels of law enforcement. Whenever an illegal is arrested, fed LEO will show up and take them away.
All the above should be designed and implemented so that the illegals deport themselves. Do not go after them. Let them come to you. And after awhile, when they realize what is waiting for them and the word gets out, there will be less and less of them.. Now for security.
Build that damn wall from California to Texas. I had a co-worker at a job who grew up in Germany, during the Iron Curtain years. He said the wall separating East and West Berlin was designed that on the Soviet side, if a person was able to make it to the wall to climb it, it had boobie traps that would severely injure the climber. Design our wall like that. Put rotating broken glass and spikes designed as handholds. Cover it with a copper mesh and electricfy it. Have guards on the wall walking on the top between towers. Armed guards. If anyone is able to make to the other side, shoot them.
Those are my solutions. It will never happen because the leaders and the majority of the citizens do not have the will or stomach to implement anything close to this.
Its not 12 million its more like 25 million and what do we do?
Well we round them up and ship them out, cut off all freebies, and prosecute those who hire them. If they can’t work or get free stuff, the ones we don’t ship out will ship themselves out.
