Two Milwaukee men — each with a state permit to carry a concealed weapon — traded dozens of shots in a rolling shootout through two sides of town and down a freeway, the kind of scenario concealed-carry opponents warned would turn road rage incidents deadly.
No one was killed or injured in the June 26 incident, according to a criminal complaint that charges just one of the men with a crime. Prosecutors aren't saying any more about the case, and the shooters couldn't be reached for comment Friday. But the gunfight is bound to spark more debate over concealed carry.

Adamany said he had just left the Taco Bell near S. 14th and W. Burnham streets and had pulled over to send a text message when a gold Dodge Magnum pulled up. A passenger said, "What are you looking at, white boy?" showed a chrome handgun and fired at Adamany's car, hit the driver's side mirror, then sped off.
Adamany told a detective he reached for his gun immediately but the safety was on. He said he called 911 and began following the Dodge as it headed for the freeway and said that someone in the Dodge fired a few more shots at him. He said the two cars were swerving around other traffic before the Dodge left the freeway briefly at McKinley Ave. then re-entered, still heading north.
That's when Adamany began emptying the magazine of his gun, shooting out the window with his left hand while driving and using the phone with his right hand, he told police.

The rate that concealed carry permit holders are now losing their permits for gun related violations
Between, October 1, 1987, and November 30, 2008, Florida issued permits to 1,439,446 people, many of whom have had their permits renewed multiple times. Only 166 had their permits revoked for any type of firearms related violation – about 0.01 percent. I was just looking up the new numbers. Updating those numbers to January 31, 2010, Florida has now issued permits to 1,704,624 people. The number who have had their permits revoked has risen to just 167. In 14 months, just one person with a Florida permit has lost his permit for a fire arms related violation. There are currently 692,621 valid permits. That is a revocation rate of 0.00014 percent.

as a wi permit’holder, if the nutjob droveoff i would have tried to get his plates, called cops, and drove the other way,/and if the mirror came off i’d try to grab it for ballistics, and grt he hell out of there the other way.

Adamany said when he first took off after the Dodge, he though he was doing the right thing. I “just kept thinking: What about the next person? What if they didn’t have a gun?” he said. “I think they were looking for a random person to shoot, honestly.”
I think what he really meant was: “I think they were looking for a random white person to shoot, honestly”. Justice for Trayvon fever.
I admit, the thought crossed my mind. We need some more information to be sure.

If the first shooter was being chased by the victim of the shoot, was the first shooter arrested/taken into custody? How else could the author know these were both CCW holders? Confusing script.
