NY'Zimmerman Doesn't Last a Year Before the Hood Catches Up to Him'
Breitbart via Twitchy ^ | 7-14-13

Posted on 07/14/2013 6:20:31 AM PDT by Dysart

After George Zimmerman was found not guilty of all charges on Saturday evening, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz sent a threatening tweet that has since been deleted from his account.

He tweeted, "Thoroughly confused. Zimmerman doesn't last a year before the hood catches up to him."

If anyone would know the ways of the hood it's the average football player.

As you reveal yourselves through words and deeds, which you cannot write off, wait til the consequences of your character catches up to you and your fellow thugs, Cruz. It will be costly, sooner later the public at large will wise up to just who you are and what you represent. Trash.

Cruz is yet another reason I dislike professional sports. Keep your millionaire mouth shut and stay out of tattoo parlors.

Oh, and wear a hoodie when you slink out at night. Makes you look like a man.

I guarantee the Giants ownership will be all over Cruz for this like white on rice.
ESPN on the other hand, will probably reward him with some meaningless, self serving award.

Contrast that with Willie Horton going to the center of the Detroit riot, standing on the roof of his car in his Tiger uniform pleading for the people to go home.

Can we make a similar prediction about Cruz's career?

In saying this he only makes the point of Zimmerman’s defense even stronger. Thug culture is what taught Martin to be aggressive.

Zimmerman just needs to make sure wherever he moves, he only writes down his address in cursive...then blacks won’t be able to find him.

I know this will get me flamed by some here, but I’ve had it with professional sports because it is populated by too many like this guy. I know there are still plenty of ‘good guys’ in professional sports, but the percentage of apparent thugs is too high to ignore.

It may not be a popular observation, but I remember never being able to like Muhammad Ali, in fact I despised him. I lay at his feet the start of trash talking. The "look at me" attitude. The "I'm better than you" mentality. In my opinion, he single-handedly (along with the help of the media) started the poisonous atmosphere that sports have become.

I became aware of then Cassius Clay in 1964 when he was screaming “I am the greatest!!” Professional sports really started downhill in the 1970’s and is thoroughly thuggized now.

The only sports I watch is at Hockeyfights.com. The essence of fair play & competition distilled down to its basics with two designated bruisers on skates beating the cr@p out of each other.

In sports as in most matters it’s always best to cut to the chase.

Just another NFL thug promoting thuggery.

Truly nothing even close to surprising out of that player or thaleaguee.

Will this so-called football team disavow his race baiting comments? I’D BE REALLY, REALLY SURPRISED.

Given the NFL’s stated policy to punish players for making remarks they feel are politically incorrect, we all need the e-mail for the NFL so we can explain how offended we are and how important it is for them to punish every player who suggests that a good hispanic man be killed for defending himself.

You’re not going to get any fire from me!

From about 1963 on, you couldn’t pry me away from the TV on football Sundays. Decades later, football turned into more business than sport. The final death-knell (IMHO) was the idiots at the NFL hiring MTV to manage the halftime show resulting in the half-time titty show. Morons.

True 40% of the NFL members are felons.

NFL - "21% charged with a serious crime" does not equal 40% felons.

NBA - 40% "involved in a serious crime"

"Jeff Benedict has written provocative books about the violence in both leagues. In Pros and Cons: The Criminals Who Play in the N.F.L., which came out in the late 1990s, he and his coauthor Don Yaeger claimed that 21 percent of NFL players had been charged with a serious crime. The NFL has instituted programs to help keep players on the straight and narrow, and league officials laud their effectiveness (who counts Cincinnati, anyway?). A revised personal conduct policy is being unveiled at the annual league meeting this week that is said to be much tougher. But then, there is something profoundly self-defeating about a sports league that needs to set up crime prevention programs for its players. It’s one of those situations where the promised cure only reminds observers how bad the illness really is.

A few years after Pros and Cons, Benedict wrote Out of Bounds: Inside the NBA’s Culture of Rape, Violence, and Crime, in which he claimed that an incredible 40 percent of NBA players had been involved in a serious crime. "

"Felon Ball"

The ‘hood seems to be doing a pretty good job of wiping out the ‘hood all on their own. Zimmerman wasn’t even a blip on that radar screen.
