Obama Responds to Zimmerman Verdict: 'Stem the Tide of Gun Violence'--For Trayvon
Breitbart News ^ | 7-14-2013 | Joel B. Pollak

The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy. Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America. I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher. But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken. I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son. And as we do, we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities. We should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis. We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, that’s a job for all of us. That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin."

No, Magic Negro—you’re wrong again.
It’s gangs and thug culture.
Trayvon was a punk.

Would you care to spin again?

The same Police who tried to put Zimmerman in jail.

It wasn't the police who tried to put GZ into jail.

They didn't want to, because they didn't see that he had committed a crime.

It was liberal politicians, racist pressure groups, and the media that wanted to jail GZ.

Hey Obama, how about mention the Zimmerman family..the family you helped DESTROY you piece of sh*t!! The disgust I have for this vermin I can’t even put into words..sorry Obama, I don’t “honor” a thug like Trayvon Martin, you live like a gang banging thug and you die like one. Maybe next time one of them will think differently before trying to bash someone’s head in with a concrete slab

That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin.

What, exactly, are we honoring Travon for?

I recently honored a Medal of Honor recipient for saving hundreds of soldiers' lives on Iwo Jima at the risk of his own life. So what honorable deed has Trayvon accomplished?

I tell you this, I would not let Obama present me with a Medal of Freedom. He doesn’t know or respect the meaning of the word.

I would refuse it to his face on stage and then tell him why I did so.

And if GZ hadn’t had a gun, he might have been dead.

Would Obama then call for “cement sidewalk control”?

Live, on TV, sans teleprompter:

“As President of the United States, I, Barack Hussein Obama, foolishly interjected myself into a local matter that I had no business sticking my nose in. I also inappropriately instructed Eric Holder and the DOJ to interfere the judicial process in Florida, when I shouldn’t have. And for this, I am deeply sorry and apologize to Mr. George Zimmerman, to the people of Florida, and to all Americans.

From this moment forward, I resolve, with help of God and from all of you, to make every effort to refrain from interjecting myself into in such a manner ever again.”

Re: “Check the facts.”

Chris Serino, Sanford Police Department Lead Detective, recommended Zimmerman be prosecuted for Manslaughter.

Months after making his recommendation, Serino claimed he had been “pressured.”

Is that the kind of policeman you want defending YOU in a life and death struggle?

No thanks.

It couldn’t have been the fact that St. Skittles was smashing GZ’s head into the concrete now could it?

After all he was 17 and buying skittles......so that excuses everything.

That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin.

I think a more honorable and truthful way to honor Trayvon is to remind people that when you start a fight with an armed man, one should bring more than Skittles and Ice tea to the fight.

This a$$h$%e is so tiring.

I have just returned from being out of the country for the past month.

Honestly, I used to leave the country and look forward to coming home. Now, it's depressing. I really just don't even like being here anymore. And it's not that there is anywhere better. There is just something to not really understanding another country's politics, not really speaking the language and just not caring what they do.

We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, that’s a job for all of us.

We can jail thugs, criminals and gang bangers and reveal their identities at the first vandalism, threat, use of narcotics, sale of narcotics, possession of stolen goods, possession of burglary tools, assault on school bus drivers, suspensions from required schooling or truancy, that's what we can do to save innocent citizen's lives.

And we could lower costs for law abiders to purchase guns and training, we could do that, too.
