They’re not going to have control over a federal jury either. They are made up of the same pool of citizens as the State juries. This is a bad case for them, Holder would be well advised, from a tactical point of view, to let this one go. Much more to lose than to gain.

It’s coming out St. Skittles was not a choir boy, and that’s going to chase Holder off of this.

I think it was because the witch and her flying monkeys found more exculpatory evidence to withhold.

Seems it was worthy, there are a lot of responses, mostly articulate ones too.

You got it!

Was some power trying to suppress a charge or was some power trying to bring a charge?

They didn't need a conviction. Just a charge. Follow the money.

No evidence.
This prosecution was purely political. The Obama Regime makes a lot of mileage by enraging blacks.

The trial threads are over, so some of us are “post-morteming.”

That’s normal. The question has general interest. We are now ready to go after the people and the process that lead to such a bad prosecution with otherwise pressing issues now behind.

I myself do not know the answer to the question despite studying this issue a lot. Do you? If so, tell us!

If you are having a bad day, I hope things get better.

(Thanks for that link to that article. If that’s not posted you ought to post it.)

No new evidence supporting prosecution. Plenty of new evidence supporting not having a trial. Prosecutors downloaded 2000 photos from Martin's cell phone, and then ignored 6 separate discovery requests from the defense team, which in itself is grounds for disbarment.

Members of Eric Holder's Justice Department were the ones who pressured the state to prosecute. Prosecutors chose to forgo the grand jury at the recommendation of Justice Department. All this was covered again and again and again and again on the trial threads. The verdict thread alone should tell you everything you would ever want to know.

I think it was that hostile girl that had been on the cell phone with the kid that night. The Martin family couldn't get her to make a deposition but finally trapped/tricked her into talking so that they could call her as a witness. IMO when you bring a hostile/friendly witness to court, you get what you pay for.

I already know everything you just wrote, and it’s from multiple sources, not just the threads.

(I appreciate your concise summary though.)

But did you REALLY cover EVERYTHING? Are you SURE? If you are really SO sure that EVERYTHING is already covered and summarized and clear and accessible and validated about this, GREAT, make that clear to everyone instead of just saying, in essence, “go do research” to people who might have, for all you know, been out of touch, doing a mission in Uganda!

(EVERYTHING! I can just hear Ed McMahon now, only older people are likely to get that...)

However, the subject of this thread (as I take it, being perhaps a little forgiving on the subject) in some ways is more of a rhetorical question, designed to promote a FreeRepublic RE-EXAMINATION of the issue.

That is the kind is MICROSCOPIC RE-EXAMINATION scrutiny that FreeRepublic does! Don’t try to stop us!

Sometimes an ARRAY of sensors honing in on an issue provides better resolution!

That is why I COMMENT when someone (you) basically DENIGRATES an effort to promote a “group array” to investigate an issue that (only) YOU think is “cut and dried” but that may NOT in fact be so “cut and dried”!!!

And it is right when when we are about to get down to the serious issue of the prosecution of criminal actions by public officials.

This is a good thread.

I love the frequent South Park references around here.

And hey, it makes as much sense as anything in the prosecution’s case!

Don’t be distracted. The Federal government is going to use sleight of hand, to keep our attention focussed on riots and demonstrations like the ones in Oakland, San Francisco and elsewhere, to try and give Boehner and Cantor breathing room to force amnesty for illegal aliens down our throats. DON’T LET THEM DO THIS!!
