Protests are spreading across the country today following the sensational not-guilty verdict for George Zimmerman after he shot dead teenager Trayvon Martin.
Demonstrations, from Florida where the trial took place to Atlanta, DC and New York, have remained largely peaceful--although pockets of violence had erupted in Oakland, California.
Emotional crowds carried signs calling for justice as police assembled close by to monitor activity - a New York march culminated with a group of thousands gathering in Times Square before continuing towards Harlem as Sunday night wore on and Los Angeles protestors blocked a city freeway as they took their anger with Saturday's verdict to the streets.

For starters, anyone who actually watched the trial would have been sensationalized by a guilty verdict. The state’s witnesses helped Zimmerman immensely. Secondly, this phrasing and punctuation make it sound like Trayvon was already dead when he was shot. Good grief.
Lynching, meet affirmative action.
“Erupt” is a bit of an overstatement.
I just don’t believe there is that much real ‘anger’ out there. Almost everyone knows deep down Z did the only thing he could do to save his life. What’s more, who among us would have done differently?
The vast majority out there ‘protesting’ are either paid or simply want to riot in the first place, imo.
I think the difference between this and Rodney King verdict is everyone was ready for it. Individual incidents will be more frequent I’m afraid.

The Sanford PD, the FBI and a jury of women all assessed the evidence against Zimmerman and determined that there was no “there” there.
So, these “protesters” (Obama’s army of ignoramuses) have concluded that NONE of the people heard the REAL story or know the evidence as intimately as they do. And, yet, in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, Ceorge Zimmerman was tried by a “jury of his peers” as prescribed by law and found not guilty.
Which mow makes him a political prisoner. GZ is the new poster child for a “news” media that is out of control and allowed to fabricate it’s own narrative of stories. Much of what they wrote and said about GZ anfd TM was manufactured, manipulated BS that a court of law determined was unfounded. This is also what “Dear Leader” has brought to America, the rule of man, NOT law.
If this is to be the beginning of a new race war, the end will be disasterous and will retard the cause of “civil rights” by 100 years. Everything that African Americans perceive they are denied will become reality for them. Then, and perhaps, only then, will they understand how much they REALLY lost by allowing themselves to be played by the biggest shyster of them all - the Race Pimp-in-Chief!
The UK media (and Canadian) is really playing this up for all it’s worth. They are using this as proof that the U.S. is still in the era of Jim Crow.
Hmmm Bob, it may be that unless your the 12 people and a goat that watches MSLSD that this Traytable race media manufactured is a dud. Traytable was not an NBA or NFL star so I’m pretty sure the hood has moved on to the next Judge Judy show
