Ted Nugent blames Trayvon Martin for shooting in George Zimmerman case
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS ^ | July 15, 2013 | Ethan Sacks

Full title: Ted Nugent blames Trayvon Martin for shooting in George Zimmerman case, calling late teen 'a dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe'

Controversial rocker says Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the Black Panthers, President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder made case about race when it's 'clear-cut self-defense.'

Ted Nugent wasted no time in providing ammunition to further stoke tensions over the George Zimmerman case.

The conservative rocker and NRA board member took aim at the controversy surrounding a Florida jury’s not guilty verdict in the shooting death of unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin -- calling the teen victim a “dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe.”

In a column for the right-leaning site Rare, Nugent wrote the prosecutors were pressured into bringing a trial when it was obvious “cut and dried self-defense.”

“The race-baiting industry saw an opportunity to further the racist careers of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the Black Panthers, President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, et al, who then swept down on the Florida community refusing to admit that the 17-year-old dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe Trayvon Martin was at all responsible for his bad decisions and standard modus operendi of always taking the violent route,” wrote Nugent.

“Trayvon had no reason not to attack, because it was the standard thug thing to do. See Chicago any day of the week.”

As tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and several other cities to protest the verdict, Nugent later told Newsmax that Martin was solely at fault for escalating the confrontation that ultimately led to his own death.

The “Cat Scratch Fever” guitarist — a polarizing figure who called for arming teachers after the Sandy Hook massacre and is reportedly considering a bid for the White House in 2016 — called for the disbarment of the entire prosecution team for bringing the Zimmerman case to trial.

“Smart and honest America rejoices that the jury got it right,” Nugent said. “This was the purest case of self-defense you could have ever asked for.”

You do not know that for sure. That is just what GZ said happened.

I’m too old to run so I would have stopped and asked Zimmerman “May I help you”?

There’s nothing “nice” about refusing to believe your own lyin’ eyes, and to believe the famously mendacious pinhead liberal media instead. And to give the hypocritical race-baiting fools like Sharpton and Jackson (et. al.) a pass. Screw ‘em.

Not a diplomatic way to phrase it, for sure. But is any part of that statement factually wrong?

My issue isn't with Nugent. It's with the New York Daily News (i.e. media) accusing somebody else of "stoking tensions" in the case.

The jury determined innocence, the end.

Here is the complete footage of Zimmerman himself walking several detectives through the complex and explaining second by second what happened.

You may choose to believe him or not, but the autopsy and forensics reports do not contradict anything he says in this 12 minute video, and eye witness accounts support Zimmerman's description of the events. Police also say his story never varied.

My only hesitation on this point of view is...didn’t the cops tell GZ to stay in the car? Not to engage in any way?

My problem with the Nuge is that he’s so wishy washy and hairsplitting in his language that I can never be sure what side of an issue he’s championing. /s

Indeed.

Trayvon Martin died as a direct result of being a violent criminal, and he died during the act of being a violent criminal and he was killed during that act by his victim.

He got on the spot justice and karma, and I really don’t see how a civilized society could ask for anything more or better than that.

“You do not know that for sure. That is just what GZ said happened.”

Zimmerman passed a lie detector, was tricked into believing the entire event was videotaped (and was happy about it), and all the physical evidence and actual witnesses supported his versions of the events.

Nugent is “stoking tensions” and “adding ammunition” to the situation. Meanwhile Sharpton, Jackson, and all the rest of the Hate Whitey crowd are doing what? Calming troubled waters? Bridging the racial divide? Making peace in the Brotherhood of Man?

Yep. It’s the rare white conservative voice that’s aggravating a tense condition.

The State of Florida Prosecutor’s office also COVERED UP that Travon Martin had kiddie porn on his cell phone, as well as pics of him menacingly holding a handgun. But, their IT guy testified to the truth, and was then FIRED for that!!

Indeed. Imagine the “teachable moment” if GZ had been convicted - irrational anger among young black males is justifiable, and there should be no consequences when they initiate violence? The left is crying that young blacks are in peril as a result of this verdict. The truth is the opposite. Suspicion, fair or unfair, is not what’s causing so many young blacks to die violent deaths. Uncontrollable, irrational rage is.

After Zimmerman had gotten out of his vehicle, the Non-emergency operator ASKED him if he was following the “suspect”. Zimmerman answered yes, and the operated stated, “You don’t need to do that”. Zimmerman was NEVER ordered fto stay in his vehicle.

That’s of course how the imbeciles will spin it.

And even bigger imbeciles will believe it.

No, he was speaking to the 911 operator, and according TO that operator:

Noffke explained to the jury that as a 911 dispatcher, he is unable to issue direct orders to callers due to liability issues.
911 dispatcher Sean Noffke takes the stand

No legal offical gave Zimmerman any kind of order whatsoever. That's just more of the media spin.

Nope, it was the phone dispatcher, not the cops. And Zimmerman was already out of the car when this was said: "We don't need you to do that." or something very similar. And when she told him that he turned around and headed back toward his car. It was after that that he was attacked.
