A 34-year-old Wauwatosa man told Milwaukee police that he was repeatedly punched Sunday, unprovoked, and heard one of the his assailants refer to Trayvon Martin during the beating.
The man, who was identified in media reports as Christopher Simpson, was attacked about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of W. Cherry St. in Milwaukee. He told police he was punched in the back of the head, and then several other suspects punched and kicked him when he fell to the ground.
Simpson, who is white, told WTMJ-TV that he was beaten by a group of black teens and that one of them said "This is for Travyon Martin."

There have been a few cases like this around the country. Clearly they are hate crimes. I expect all laws to be applied to these cases. We can debate about the wisdom of hate crime laws, but, these laws are on the books. It’s a hate crime when black youth attack whites because they are white, as surely as it would be if whites attack blacks because they are black. Eric Holder, this means that the Justice Department needs to file charges. Thank you
