A man was fatally shot by Los Angeles police on Tuesday night after he approached officers with a gun, a police spokesperson said.
Plainclothes officers were driving down the 1700 block of Pico Boulevard about 9 p.m. when they were approached by a man with a gun, public information officer Rosario Herrera said.

Sounds like the LAPD used Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law. I didn’t think that was legal in California.
