I don’t think they have the ability to repeal the 2A, but they never let a good crisis go to waste.
They’re too clever to try to actually repeal it. The trick is to do what DC and Chicago and CA have been doing and trying to do — make it so difficult to get a permit, require expensive “liability insurance”, require expensive “microstamping” of individual bullets, outlaw lead, eliminate Stand Your Ground and other defenses of actually using your gun, etc., that it is “repealed” in all but name.
