Cantor’s ‘Kids Act’ Coming Along

The House Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing next week on the issue of granting citizenship to illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children and Majority Leader Eric Cantor may introduce his bill on the topic this month.

Cantor made his most impassioned public case for the legislation yet at a press conference this morning, saying that addressing the fate of the so-called DREAMers – a reference to the DREAM Act, another bill that would afford citizenship to illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children — is “an issue of decency, of compassion.”

“Where else would these kids go? Again, they’ve been brought here as a minor in many instances having no idea what was going on, knowing no other place than America as home,” Cantor added.

Speaker John Boehner is also supporting the legislation. “This is about basic fairness. These children were brought here of no accord of their own. Frankly, they’re in a very difficult position and I think many of our members believe that this issue needs to be addressed,” he said.

The old "it's for the children!" tact. Thought it was just the democraps that had the market cornered on that maneuver. Silly me.

The Republican sell-out intensifies. An immigration mechanism already exists for those “kids.” It’s called “continuous permanent presence in the U.S.” They don’ need no steekeen’ Dream Act.

Now here’s what will be interesting. Will Obamao, RINObio and the rest of the Dims settle for border security in exchange for the DREAM Act? Or will they try to force Boner’s hand into passing full fledged amnesty for all?

Let the kids’ own government take care of them.

Doesn’t Mexico care about their children?

They have little choice but to do what the House gives them since the Senate bill was not released to the house.

I have a dream - that existing law be enforced. That the fence will be built as required by existing law. That illegal aliens be deported as required by existing law. That employers of illegal aliens be prosecuted as required by existing law. That existing law be enforced with interference by politicians. That politicians obey their Oath.

Do these guys really think we are that stupid? Why are they even dealing with this? Stand up to Obama and get this country moving in the right direction again, or at least slow the slide to communism. Polls show everyone wants the border secured first, this could be a big winner for them. Wouldn’t it be nice if they were actually as interested in screwing over Obama as the are their own party? On the other hand, the stupid party should just get this amnesty over with so we can get a start on 2014 and 2016 as a new party.
