Ashton Proposal: Blacklist Only Hizbullah's 'Military Wing'

The European Union’s foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, is working on an initiative that would blacklist Hizbullah’s so-called “military wing” while leaving the EU open to talking with its political faction, EU diplomats said on Wednesday.

EU ambassadors are set to discuss on Thursday the issue of adding Hizbullah to its list of terrorist groups. Counter-terrorist experts from the bloc's 28 member states twice failed last month to reach a unanimous decision to blacklist the Lebanese Shiite group.

Two EU diplomats told Reuters on Wednesday that the proposal by Ashton suggests including a statement the EU "should continue dialogue with all political parties in Lebanon" and maintain funding to Beirut.

"The proposal on the table makes it clear the EU is serious about responding to terrorist attacks on its soil," a diplomat, from a country in favor of blacklisting Hizbullah, said.

A spokeswoman for Ashton said, meanwhile, that no decisions had been taken regarding Hizbullah.

Annihilating Hizbullah would solve many problems in the ME, not all, just many.

What BS. It is the same thug. Europe (and the current USA administration) seem so happy to talk with, send huge sums of money to, and give all the latest deadly weapons to terroristas.
This not only endangers the entire world,
it kills thousands of Arabs or Muslims who may sincerely wish to live under more civilized regimes than the Islamicist terrorista dictatorships we’re forcing onto them

Pray for America. and everyone else

The "good ones" are actually non combat support personnel.

They provide cover and concealment, aid and comfort for the MURDERERS that walk amongst them!

I believe the relevant expression is “Trying to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

The effeminate Europeans are afraid to brand a murderous terror organization a terror organization because they are simply scared that the Hizbollah terror will come to their shores too. It is called “appeasement” and it stinks.

So long as terror attacks happen in Bulgaria, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Argentina and a host of other countries NOT EUROPEAN or qua European then they can continue to keep their heads in the sand as their knees shake.

Nothing is more disgusting than a European continent that needs to lie to itself from 1933 until today.

The West, led from behind by BHO had an opportunity to seriously weaken Syria, Hizbollah, Iran and Russia during the last 2 years of the Syrian civil war.

What did the West do? Again, led from behind by the US, did...nothing and now Assad and the nut cases from Lebanon are winning.

Nothing like complacency and voting present. Americans don't see it yet but in the years after Obama, the US’s position in the world will drop even further.

Considering that Obama is a Muslim sympathizer, if not a clandestine Muslim ... what do you expect?

Apparently, his “reset”, “soft power”, “reach out to the Muslim world” all backfired on him and the entire USA.

Ironic that the Egyptians now hate him. At the start of his administration he gave a huge policy speech in Cairo. Due tot that speech, the Egyptians overthrew America's ally, Mubarak. Now the Egyptian people have spoken again only now Obama wants to reinstate Morsi from the MB.

This is an absurd (Obamian) situation.

How quickly the US adapted to a self-destructing leader. It is as if there is a death wish out there or something. All of the people I speak with disagree with me about how bad Obama was, is and will be for this country, yet, they think I am going overboard in my criticisms of him, oh, sorry, HIM.

Is there a mass psychosis out there? Why can't people see through his pretty thin veneer? I don't get it. It is so obvious he is a rank amature with a Left agenda, yet...

That makes as much sense as only attacking the NAZI army in WWII and not the NAZI political structure lead by Hitler.

It would appear that we are seeing a malignant case of cerebral colo-rectal impaction. There is no known cure for this disease.

It’s a deliberately self-inflicted disease, which attacks the brain’s higher logic and moral choices functions, but leaves the functions associated with spewing rhetoric and the desire to dominate others intact (in other words, the political functions:-E).
