Sanford mayor unhappy with Department of Justice over Zimmerman case email

SANFORD, Fla. —
Federal investigators want the public's help as they try to decide whether George Zimmerman violated Trayvon Martin's civil rights, but Channel 9 learned Sanford's mayor has a big problem with how the feds are collecting tips.
The email address justice officials created reads Sanford.Florida@USDOJ.gov.
Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett believes that email address indirectly blames the entire city for what happened to Martin, despite all their work to get rid of the stigma.
A jury on Saturday acquitted Zimmerman of second-degree murder charges in Martin's shooting death.
Channel 9's Karla Ray got a copy of the letter Triplett sent to Washington, D.C., demanding the email address be changed.
"It's just absolutely wrong. I'm outraged," said Triplett.

THAT’S the detail he’s worried about?! Not that it’s illegal, fascist, unfair and unconstitutional for the totality of the federal government to go after an exonerated man like George Zimmerman? Seriously?!

Sanford is already tense. The town has done a lot to try and rehabilitate its reputation. This email is NOT helping.

So Triplett’s outrage is not that one of his citizen’s is being targeted unfairly for persecution by the DOJ, but that Sanford’s name is being besmirched.
Great mayor you got there! Glad to see his priorities are in the right place.

On March 23, the Rev. Al Sharpton led a rally of about 10,000 people in a downtown Sanford park. Triplett, invited to speak on behalf of the city, was booed off the stage.
Congresswoman Corrine Brown told the crowd that Triplett had embraced the Justice Department's investigation of the shooting and called him back on stage. He was applauded.
"She totally took that crowd in a different direction. I called her the next day and couldn't thank her enough," Triplett said. [LINK]

Never mind the Gestapo tactics of ratting on someone, just change the email address so the city doesn’t look bad!
My 13 year old grandson is headed to Siesta Key next week with his best friend and the friend’s family. I think I’m going to be terrified the entire time he is gone.
This administration is evil.

What the hell, since the federal government knows everything that I type on my keyboard, I sent an email to the DOJ at their email, saying to leave the whole matter alone. That it is a local matter, that the FBI investigated and found no racism.
I suggest others FREEP the DOJ at their email site.
