Paul Ryan: ‘We don’t want to push people into citizenship’

Rep. Paul Ryan said Thursday that Republicans are taking care not to “push” illegal immigrants to become American citizens as part of any comprehensive immigration reform package.

“We don’t want to push people into citizenship,” Ryan said in an interview with KFYR 550 in Bismarck, N.D.

Ryan said immigrants are more interested in finding jobs than in becoming citizens.

“Most people just want to have a legal status so they can work to provide for their families,” he said.

like some smarter leftists he understands that illegals don’t want to be citizens, the last thing they want to do is draw the attention of any gov’t to themselves. they are after all the definition of lawless people.

they just want all the benefits (free access to jobs, free access to welfare, free access to education, etc.) of being here with none of the responsiblity of citizenship (taxes, becoming American, etc.)

most won’t come forward even if they are given gold plated amnesty. they just call their friends and family in mexico and say come on in. the won’t do anything to you.

how ryan can call himself a catholic and take such an immoral position is beyond me.

Oh, Don’t worry, you won’t.

They didn’t come here for citizenship.

Paul Ryan: ‘We don’t want to push people into citizenship’

But it's perfectly acceptable to allow them to push us into supporting them and paying for the results of their criminal activity?

What's wrong with this picture?

I prefer deporting them all, no matter how long it takes.

They can soil our nest, but have simultaneous disdain for our culture.
what's wrong with that picture?

RE :”Ryan simply said we don’t need a special pathway to citizenship to fix our immigration system,” said the spokesperson, Kevin Seifert.
.....
??? I was looking for some direct quotes from Ryan that contradict this (Ryan saying that illegals must have citizenship)”

Rand Paul was using this terminology months ago, and some others too.
They explain that the wait time makes the amnesty ‘unspecial’ because they must ‘get on back of the line’ when they wait that probation period.

Bolstering prospects for comprehensive immigration reform, Rep. Paul Ryan predicted that the Republican-controlled House would approve a so-called path to citizenship, despite conservative opposition.....Ryan, an influential conservative, lent support to those hopes. He told an audience in Washington assembled by the pro-reform National Association of Manufacturers that "earned legalization is an issue I think the House can and will deal with."

>>And they all want to work in the melon patch —not!

In 1918 it was sugar-beat fields.

No Obama Phones or Commie-care required. The Blacksmith who made this photo of his family didn't need it in "The Old Country" or in the new.

Back then refusing health "insurance" wasn't tax evasion, either.

I wonder who will play the role of the Romanovs this time.

Ryan is beneath contempt----says all illegals wanna do is get legal status so thay can work to providefor their families.

So do real Americans..... and immigtants here that played by the voluminous rules (THOUGHTFULLY DETAILED BY TENNESSEE NANA ELSEWHERE).

Ryan's stupidity is beyond belief....he actually believes this bullcocky.

================================================================

Ryan compounded his stupidity by his sap-happy claim that reform would "take them out of the shadows, so that they can give us their real identities."

MEMO TO RYAN your sap-happy faith in human nature will not be rewarded---especially by the conniving primitive invaders sucking off taxpayers.

Using multiple identities is v-e-r-y profitable.

<><> one latino illegal (one who got caught) scammed UI for some $3.4 MILLION.

<><> The Washington state latino rapist had some 30 identities---all riding the US gravy train.

<><> $43 million IRS refunds were sent to one address---that's about 37,000 fake ids---just at one address.

=====================================================

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY COME OUT OF THE SHADOWS--they already have multiple faked ID's to get drivers' licenses under different names....which also allows them to vote under different names....and collect US freebies under different names.

1. legalization forces them to get drivers' licenses under their real names.

2. state computers run a photo-match check to see if the same person has applied under different names.

3. they get investigated for ID theft and have to answer to a judge.

4. they get prosecuted under US law.

==================================================

END OF STORY Ryan still fronts for legalization---with his cock and bull story about enabling illegals "to happily come out of the shadows w/ real identities."

Makes you wonder what else Gutierrez has been feeding his lapdog about this atrocious bill.

Yeah Ryan we don’t want to insult them by making them become citizens. Smoke mirrors and bull Shiite to feed the line of crap that they won’t vote. Well if they won’t vote and don’t want to be citizens they are only here to steal jobs. Send them packing!

No, no, no! I’m sure a work-around is tucked in there w/ the Senate version that allows an illegal (not a Citizen mind you), forge a passport up to 3x before it becomes punishable.

That photo/SSN/etc. match...that will be swept under the rug for us Citizens whose identity was stolen/used/abused to worry about.

Looks like Ryan stepped in a deep pile of horsesh*t and now wants to clean off his boots and hope nobody noticed.

You SHOULD push immigrants into citizenship. And into renouncing citizenship in other countries. They SHOULD be required to declare where their allegiances are. And they should be required to show proof of citizenship BEFORE THEY VOTE.

I think a lot of people noticed.

And a lot of republicans are guilty of this. I’d estimiate about 99% of them.

I am having a real problem with the gop at this point, and I do not see any way that I can support them any more.

I listen to Mark Levin, a hero of mine, and I know that he thinks that gop must be cleaned out and reclaimed, but I am at a point where I do not even want to be associated with the word “republican”, because the only meaning it has for me is traitor.

I am of the mind that if a political party betrays its base to the extent that the gop has, and the frequency with which it engages in such betrayal, then it does not deserve to exist any longer.

There needs to be a clear penalty for what they have done, and to me that penalty is political extinction.

Ryan’s a good man but he’s missing something important here - we can’t take in the world. And we shouldn’t. I have faith that he’ll grow in understanding if he looks at the numbers of people who would love to come here - and would be ever so grateful... Numbers that would totally destroy our country. Really, he needs to do the math.

Thanks for the ping Liz...
