the Senate's controversial immigration reform bill passed in late June contains a Medicaid mandate similar to a provision found in the Affordable Care Act, known to its critics as Obamacare.
A little-noticed part of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) score of S. 744 shows that it would in fact impose a $20 billion Medicaid expansion on states. According to the CBO score of the legislation, this provision would occur over a decade-long period after the President signs the bill.
"In assessing the impact of the bill on the federal budget, CBO estimated its effect on federal and state spending for Medicaid. S. 744 would have the result of increasing the number of individuals who would become eligible for either full Medicaid or for more limited emergency benefits,” the CBO writes in the section of its Senate immigration bill score on mandates to states.

What medicaid has to do with immigration is beyond me! Oh, wait, isn’t medicaid for the poor?? Maybe there’s a connection after all.
They didn’t like the fact that a lot of the states are rejecting the medicaid expansion in Obamacare so they are trying to force it down states’ throats by other means.

My 85 yr old mother quit wearing her heart patch last year because her co-pay (she has medicare and retiree ins from working 52 years) from $6 to $100 for 90 days. The cost of the patches were $57 on reports she had received during the 12 yrs she wore them after a stroke.
I am so mad that our seniors worked to give us the prosperity that has been squandered and stolen by politicians and now they are treated like undeserving paupers.
Where in the world is the 20 billion coming from if they can’t keep up with senior’s medication?
It’s to give Obamacare to newly amnestied aliens.
