Former Bush strategist Karl Rove says hes staying out of Wyomings Republican U.S. Senate primary between incumbent Mike Enzi and newly-announced challenger Liz Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Liz is a friend of mine, Rove told radio host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday. I also respect Sen. Enzi. This is going to be up to the people of Wyoming. They dont need a Texan coming in there, and I grew up in the mountain west and you and I both know particularly in the Rocky Mountain states and small states like Wyoming they know everybody and want to make up their own minds about it.
Rove has been criticized in recent months for his involvement with the Conservative Victory Project, which has been described as an effort to elect establishment Republican candidates over more conservative challengers.

From The Daily Caller:
Q: Would you have voted for the Gang of 8's immigration bill?
Liz Cheney:
I wouldnt have voted for it. I think that there were too many good amendments, for example, that were not accepted, such as those offered by Sen. Cruz, that would have provided much more insurance in terms of border security. I am not comfortable with leaving so much discretion in the hands of the secretary for Homeland Security to decide whether to carry out those provisions of the bill. And I think the bill as it stands now doesnt deal with the most important issue weve got to address first, which is to secure the border.
A blessing for both Enzi and Cheney.
Well, we can all sleep a little easier tonight.
Thanks very much.
I didn’t remember her being for amnesty.
Homosexual marriage, yes, but not amnesty.
Cesar Conda and Liz Cheney are best buddies. Beware.
Cesar Conda and Liz Cheney are best buddies. She supports Amnesty. So does her father.
That’s Rubio’s guy.
Thanks for the information.
He was Cheney’s and Soros’ guy before he was Rubio’s guy.
Actually, her mother, Lynne, has much stronger Wyoming bona fides.
Dick moved to Wyoming with his parents when he was in high school. Lynne was born here.
A lot of wisdom in the old adage that says, “Politics makes for strange bedfellows.”
You forgot one new item for his CV: Rubio’s chief of staff.
He was also assistant to Dick Cheney while he was VP.
He’s a snake in the grass. And he’s hip-by-jowl with the Cheneys.
Another reason to dispense with Lizzie’s senate bid.
In the case of Wyoming....must be looking for a win/win by staying out of the way.
It does surprise me because I’ve always suspected that Rove is a bit fruity and Liz is a big supporter of the homosexual agenda.
Rove’s stepfather was gay.
You got that right !
Stay outa da Bushes! (and Cheneys)

Please show me any link to any statement Liz Cheney ever made on amnesty/immigration any reference. I have looked for hours and gone over dozens of links and can’t find anything I sure would appreciate it.
