Karl Rove won’t get involved in Wyoming Cheney-Enzi fight
Daily Caller ^ | 7/19/13 | Jeff Poor

Former Bush strategist Karl Rove says he’s staying out of Wyoming’s Republican U.S. Senate primary between incumbent Mike Enzi and newly-announced challenger Liz Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney.

“Liz is a friend of mine,” Rove told radio host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday. “I also respect Sen. Enzi. This is going to be up to the people of Wyoming. They don’t need a Texan coming in there, and I grew up in the mountain west and you and I both know — particularly in the Rocky Mountain states and small states like Wyoming — they know everybody and want to make up their own minds about it.”

Rove has been criticized in recent months for his involvement with the Conservative Victory Project, which has been described as an effort to elect “establishment Republican candidates” over more conservative challengers.

Not a surprise.

Good news is that Tokyo Rove's Amnesty advertising campaign was a total flop and waste of his donors' funds.

And both of his Super Pacs are failing to raise anywhere near the amount of money he needs.

$100,000 advertising campaigns won't get you anywhere, Tokyo!

He won’t get involved openly because he knows it would wreck whoever he’s backing. However that doesn’t mean the race will be free of his oozing manipulations in the background.

“Liz a friend”

“respect Enzi”

I’d decode that as favoring Cheney, but staying out lest he taint her needlessly.

He’s right about people up there resenting outsiders who attempt to try to gain power in their territory.

Come to think of it, that sort of describes Liz Cheney, who wasn’t born there, hasn’t lived there as an adult, didn’t go to school there.

Just dropping in from DC to Jackson has a severe elitist taint to it.

Her father has Wyoming bona fides and she doesn’t.

Rove shutting up is always good for conservatism.

This douchebag is single-handedly responsible for every single bad thing that has happened to REAL conservatism in the last decade.

Liz Cheney supports Amnesty and Homo Marriage. So I think we all know who Tokyo Rove is really supporting.

Absolutely. He may not get his fingerprints on it directly, but you know he will be involved behind the scenes.

“They don’t need a Texan coming in there”

Yet for some reason other states do? Take your money and shove it where the sun don’t shine, Tokyo Rove.

Liz Cheney supports Amnesty and Homo Marriage.

And her Dad thinks it's treason to point out that the Federal government is collecting our phone and Internet records. Used to admire the Cheneys.

Way over that.

Her father has Wyoming bona fides and she doesn’t.

Who cares? Worked for Hillary in NY who didn't even have ties............

with that being said, I suspect Ms. Cheney is far more conservative than the proven Rino Enzi..

The people in Wyoming know Cheney and have supported him throughout his career. There's no reason for them not to support his daughter........
