A 15-year-old Florida girl was punched when she tried to help a 51-year-old Michigan woman being robbed Friday night on the Mag Mile by eight juveniles, officials said.
Two 15-year-old girls, a 14-year-old girl, a 13-year-old girl, three 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were arrested and charged with robbery, police said.
One of the 15-year-old girls -- who punched the Florida teen who tried to help -- also was charged with battery, and one of the boys was additionally charged with theft because police said he had another person's iPhone that had been either lost or stolen earlier Friday at North Avenue Beach.

This reminds me of some of the commentary I saw back in the youth riots over in the UK. A lot of Brits were suggesting they return to the good old days of medieval torture.

Another day for both the tourist and the citizen...and the punk thugs. By all means, come on down to Chicago and see the sights...and experience em’, too. Since the leftist Mayor and all who work for him will not do anything about the thug problem/killings in Chicago, (Rahm Emanuel will not do anything to the oboma voter base in Chicago), come on down and watch the show when a thug picks on a concealed/carry victim...otherwise, I’d stay home or go elsewhere for a vacation. And live to see another day, as opposed to being a victim of Chicago crime.

A few weeks ago near Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, about 50-100 yutes from the ghetto south side went on another mob wilding, and ended up congregated in the middle of a walkway tunnel so that no one could get past them coming in from either side of the tunnel without risking being beaten up, ripped off, and just generally intimidated. This is happening now with great regularity in the warm months, and it is happening far afield from the south and west sides of Chicago that are predominantly black; rather in the swanky richer parts of the city that are predominantly white. That is where these yutes migrate to in order to spread mayhem. Great for the Chicago tourist trade, wouldn’t you say? Great job you are doing, Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Where’s your savior Obama, the community organizer?

Where are the editorials and series of hard-hitting articles and columns from the so-called "World's Greatest Newspaper", the Chicago Tribune, about these crimes occuring under the radar?
This goes for the Chicago Sun-Times and the surrounding suburban rags, also.
I guess the Chicagoland media is so overstuffed with Trayvon eulogies that it has no room for informing and warning residents, commuters and tourists moving around the city about the dangers to life, limb and pocketbook they face daily.
