Blackwell was wanted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Pulaski Police Department on one count of rape of a child. According to the TBI, Blackwell was babysitting a 4-month-old baby at a residence in Pulaski on June 9, 2013. When the infant's mother returned home, she noticed signs of trauma later determined to be injuries suffered from sexual abuse. The victim underwent surgery at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital to repair the injuries.

Let’s be fair. He’s accused, not convicted.
If guilty, I regret the Supremes ruled out the death penalty for such crimes.
I’d also like to point out this guy is white. There are scum and pervs in all groups. (Though more in some than others.)
Four MONTHS old.
Way to go using that broad brush to smear every man!
[ stands up and applauds ]
Actually, the erotic magazines have all gone broke.
Hard to compete with free porn on the interwebs.
I envision him being thrown into one of those vertical car scrappers.....
Cherry referred to guys who do this as males, not men. Which is a distinction I appreciate.
I would also like to point out that, unlike some ethnic groups, few men feel a need to spring to the defense of those males guilty of such crimes, simply because we share an identifiable characteristic.
Quite the opposite.
Four months, not four years.
I agree with everything that is said here. But I also wonder why on earth any mother in her right mind would choose this guy to baby-sit her four-month old child.
Mug shots have a way of making people look bad, but still. Would you want that guy as a babysitter?
0800. Trial
0900. Conviction and sentence
1000. Public hanging
Is it the baby’s dad too?
Obviously a homosexual rape; if hetero they'd have spelled it out. But the queer pedos are a "protected" class.
you are not showing me a scientific sampling with your comments that because 1 male (not a man), makes some sort of case that the playboy philosophy(which admittedly is a stupid one) is the cause of the current case in this article.
disgusting vile things have happened since time began and will happen in the future. more draconian laws against such things may or may not help. I would welcome the death penalty for such a crime, but do not think it will prevent this sort of thing from happening a number of times each year in a nation of over 300 million. the odds say that it must....unfortunately.
you do not seem to understand the human male. there is a strong hormone fueled drive to have sex... much as having sex for having babies is for women. whether or not the male behaves appropriately and does not do vial, disgusting things is dependent upon upbringing and/or genetics.
it’s all about the d8ck
Just wow!! If you are that hard up just bang the Bishop. That being said:...Kill. Him. Now.
This man deserves to be lynched from the nearest tree and left there to rot.
Having said that—where did the mother pick up this man and why did she leave her child with him?
Remember I make no excuses for what he did, he needs killing.
I am trying to figure what the story doesn’t say.
Was this man a relative? Or the Mother’s lover?
Did she know of his record?
What was so important that she left a 4 month old in this man’s hands.
An animal that would rape a 4 month old child is the lowest form of life on this planet.
To answer your question. Some males enjoy it. Combining sex with the infliction of pain and a sense of domination is fun for them. There are even some who cannot function sexually any other way.
Sad but true. There have always been perverts and sickos in the world. Whether there are more of them than in the past is something I think would be very difficult to determine.
There is much to be said for cruel executions when it comes to scum like Blackwell.
There is something about the human mind that leads us to transfer our degree of outrage over a crime into our certainty of whether the particular person accused is guilty of the crime.
That’s a large part of what we see in the Zimmerman/Martin case. The MSM has convinced people a horrible crime occurred, and their resultant outrage is mentally transferred into a conviction that Zimmerman is guilty of murder.
Whether a crime occurred, and its degree of horror has nothing at all to do with whether a specific accused person committed the crime.
To be sure, in this case it seems highly unlikely he’s innocent, but in many other cases the accused is not.
