President Obama talked earlier this year of a Democratic takeover of the House, but instead his party is now in danger of losing the Senate. The latest blow to their hopes of keeping the upper chamber came from former Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer (D),who opted out of a race to replace retiring Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.)

----

That party seems likely to lose seats in Montana, South Dakota and West Virginia, where it cannot find find strong candidates.

Wasn’t the GOP going to take the Senate in 2012?

What’s the worst that could happen for the Democrats?

They lose the Majority and John McCain turns enough Republicans on every issue, that they still win every vote.

John McCain is their +1 to every party.

Sadly he generally has +5 in his pocket too.

Off year election. The democrats will not be able to motivate their base of ne’re-do-wells, to put down to their crack and hash pipes long enough to vote.

Question is: Will the republicans normally more motivated base vote for such a back-stabbing and pusillanimous group as the current crop Republican candidates? That is the question.

Not to worry!

The Democrat party will have their community organizers out on big graveyard voter registration drives this year.

A Republican victory doesn’t necessarily mean “good for America”. I am no longer a Republican, I am a conservative. Depending on the state in which I live that sometimes makes me an Independent. So be it.

Yeah and then the RNC and GOPe decided to give us Romney.

Suppressed the vote and issued away what was a mathmatical certainty

I am afraid you are right.

There are enough rinos in the Senate to prevent the good republicans from doing anything meaningful.

How in the world is Landrieu going to keep her seat in Louisiana?

A) She will get her voters out - twice, in some cases.

B) The GOP will nominate a rape/birth control expert.

Pretty much. With the Tea Party all but dead, I don’t see why they’re worried. An incumbent RAT should stand a good chance against a RINO challenger in any but the reddest of states. After all, just look at how great things are going...

I'd like to see Harry Reid and his mafia bosses drive them right over a cliff with Harry at the wheel, but it looks like it's time to call in the Company Heads that make electronic voting machines and give them an offer they can't refuse.

Naw. They are up against RINO republicans. They always find a way to screw up a sure thing and LOSE!! Their candidates are the likes of McIdiot, McRomney, and further such idiots. Naw, I doubt they can win the senate. The Muslin Brotherhood has a better chance of winning the senate than the RINOs.
