George P. Bush kicks off first campaign amid big expectations

...George P. Bush is running for state land commissioner, a post unfamiliar to most Texans, because he says it best suits his skills, not because it could launch him to bigger things in the largest Republican-leaning state.
"It's a legacy that I embrace and that I'm not going to run away from," Bush told The Associated Press.

Good. I hope he’s got more guts (for fighting Dems) than GWB. The whole “reach across the aisle” thing was what did in GWB, who honestly seemed to think until the very end that the Dems were going to reciprocate.
It will be interesting to see how he does.
