Asked repeatedly if he favors a pathway to citizenship for 11 million illegal aliens, Boehner told CBS's "Face the Nation" that his job is not to take a stand, but to let the House "work its will."

Good question. You could say the same thing about Lyndon Johnson. The guy wielded a lot of power in Congress, only to fritter it away under John and (yes even) Robert Kennedy.

Tip O’Neil was a powerful guy in his day too.

Boehner is a light-weight. I picture him with a bent-neck Boy-Scout flashlight trying to find the Men’s room in the daytime.

True...

These meetings at the White House, there would be none of them if I were king of the forest.

” I agree. I was listening to Rush for a few minutes on the way home this morning. He said something that caused me to consider something that we all agree on, but don’t always voice here.

What has happened to the people who used to speak out for good wholesome policy? There’s an absolute absence of any rational leadership on the right. Some folks think they’re hitting the mark by being a cheer-leader, but no, that isn’t it damn it.”

Thank you.

As (I think), the great Margaret Thatcher said, "Consensus is not leadership."

The House Boner has obviously not been exposed to such a concept. ... Could bring a man to tears!

He thought she said ‘menses’ is not leadership.

This confused him. He had always thought it was. That’s why he experienced sympathetic menses periodically during his career as speaker.

Okay, he gets it now... (as if)

Well, well, that’s a fresh new twist on leadership. Leaders should never have positions! Even tho they shot their mouth about all their plans to get the job? Captain of the ship says: OK, we’re off the dock. Now where would you guys like to go? There aren’t enough letters in “dumbass” to completely describe how miserably weak and impotent that line of krap sounds. But it explains why I can never get a reply from the RNC as to what the republican platform might be. And why I haven’t sent them any money for about a decade.

In the Reagan years, even Dems seemed to be a liitle more receptive to "good wholesome policy." Can't compare Reagan to Boehner, McCain, Romney, GWB....

Massive immigration has changed the demographics, the GOP is scared, and the Rove machine does not want conservative leaders.

Rove may be the #1 guy in America representing the PURCHASE of amnesty Republicans.

He is a pus bag. He is anything but a man. The fact that saying what he did does not embarrass or shame him tells people all they need to know.

I imagine this drunken fool has all kinds of dirt in his folder for Holder.

I don't mind beating this dead horse over and over, but I'm sure others get tired of it. When you have a guy like McCain on your side, it makes you wonder how bad a guy would have to be, to feel comfortable in the Democrat party.

McCain feels right at home. The rest of the party seems to like him right back.

No, you can't compare Reagan to these guys. I believe Reagan would take one look at what they failed to enforce regarding his last bill, and would tell these jackasses no way would he back more legislation.

He would demand they enforce what they already have.

I know Rove doesn’t see it this way. I know others who see the immigration bill in the same terms he does, don’t either.

I see these people as traitors. They are backing policies that are diametrically opposed to the good health of our nation. This, my friends, is “nation-killer” legislation.

There’s no way a rational human being could consider the ramifications of an amnesty of this size and think it would turn out positive.
