I get amused by the duplicity of duplicate threads. This one is still less than 10 threads so far.

I saw a story get reposted over 14 times once. In one day. It’s like someone reads a headline story and thinks; “Gee. I’ll post that on Free Republic!”

Multiply that time 10-15 posters and you get absurdity.

Already today one FReeper posted this rescue story twice in less than one minute. Why? Because it was from different sources.

Hoo boy.

Not everyone can monitor FR all day long. The threads move off the front page and dialogue ceases. Some people come home from work and see a thread that is new to them that may have been previously posted multiple times and they are glad to find it and communicate with other Freepers about it.

If FR moved active threads to the top each time someone posted, that would go some ways toward solving the problem. Not complaining; that's just my observation.
