Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is enjoying the possibility of a tea party backed challenger to Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
“He tried to make love to the tea party and they didn’t like it,” Reid quipped about McConnell to at an event hosted by the pro-Obama nonprofit Organizing for Action.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke after Reid, saying that President George Washington warned about political parties who were at war with their own government.
“Does that sound familiar?” Pelosi said, to applause from the gathered activists.
Democrats, she said, were confident in their own beliefs and ideology but willing to work across the aisle.
“We have always been bipartisan,” Pelosi said. Americans “expect us to do it in the bipartisan way.

IN what way did George Washington warn us about political parties opposed to government? Given that Washington was part of a party of men who led an armed rebellion against government, I doubt she is telling the truth.
In his Farewell Address, Washington warned of “the baneful effects of political parties.”
Many of the founders decried the idea of political parties or factions, and pushed for a government where you could not get a majority party because the decisions would be so small that there’d be factions fracturing all over the place.
Is Harry back to his daily attack of the Tea Party again and with all those Tea Party ,Conservative Groups still bogged down at the IRS
Harry Reid is apparently the result of an ill-fated dalliance between a gerbil and a pot-bellied pig.
