White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said yesterday that the Obama administration has pulled the nation from the depths of the Great Recession with the creation of 7.2 million private sector jobs.
Heres what Mr. Carney didnt say:
Since February of 2009, the first full month of Obamas presidency, 9.5 million Americans have dropped out of the labor force. Nearly 90 million Americans are not working today!
That means that 1.3 Americans have dropped out of the labor force for every one job the administration claims to have created.

If I read this right, sounds more like more jobs got abandoned than taken! In what universe is this adding jobs? The zip-zap of lies is astounding and... well the current public non-reaction to that, it does remind me of Ps 73 where it talks of “waters of abundance drained by them” from the evil boasters.
Only 2 for 1? That sounds fishy.
Lots of jobs go begging for applicants down here in Texas. You won’t hear that on your nightly news, though.
Michael Medved had a guest on the other night who wrote a book about the declining institution of marriage.
She observed that men are no longer pursuing education (57% of college students now female) and no longer pursuing skilled trades, or even jobs.
However, her studies did not a drastic increase in the number of YOUNG MEN UNDER 30 drawing SSI disability.
Of course it's bullshirt, but it was enough to purchase the 2012 election....
Of course, there have been some new jobs, although far fewer than the number of lost jobs and closings.
But, other than government jobs and union pork jobs, it would be hard to say that Obama has created ANY jobs. He has destroyed millions, but he hasn’t really created any new ones, except maybe temp jobs like Solyndra or bogus jobs like the Chevy Volt labor force.
I’m a 53 year old disabled veteran with a dozen major issues and I’ve been turned down for SSI more than once. How does an able-bodied 20-something get it?
ya gotta try 3x. i hear that the magic number.
I feel your pain, 26 year vet here (retired in March), 100% with the VA. After 7 surgeries on my knees and feet in the last 3 years and four future surgeries on my feet, knees and back still needed, the idiot at the SS office told me I could still be a member of a civilian bomb squad. My appeal is next month.
I guess y’all know it takes a very good lawyer to get on SSI.
And even with that it can take 2-3 years to make it.
Obammunism is working exactly as intended. Destroy the middle-class, leaving a large peasantry dependent on government handouts a small number of ultrarich to fund the re-election coffers.
Well I’m doing OK in Nashville for now. It’s a whole ‘nother world compared to Chicago.
Why sure you can be, they’ll bring the bombs to you to defuse :-)
