I’m next door in Olive, Branch and I never heard of it either, I did hear about sheriff rasco havtng deputies carry signs to businesses that say no weapons allowed. Some business people, espcially those not locally owned, would be influenced to do this because of the involvement of the Sheriff’s Department. I don’t think it’s been six months since rasco made a statement supporting the Second Amendment. He appears to now be in concert with jim hood.

I don’t believe the comment was meant to be derogatory or to include all women. My wife can handle a 12 ga. and shoots a .357. but many women and some men are smaller and like my sister who carries a 9 mm was very uncomfortable with a 12 ga. we recommended the youth 20 ga. for her. I am now 70 and believe in another 10 years or so I may be more comfortable with a youth 20 ga. and now have that on my acquisition list
When shopping for a 20 gauge, try out a semi auto, they have even less recoil than the pump. Mossbergs and Mavericks are inexpensive and very reliable. There are several brands now imported from Turkey that are good semi autos.

Shoot what you are comfortable with. I have shot all my life, and honestly I think I would shoot a 20 ga best as I have shot thousands more rounds of 20 than I have 12 ga. And Im over 6 feet and 220 lbs plus. Lots and lots of wing shooting.
Not to say my bugout plans dont include plenty of 12 ga this and that, as during the Zombie apocalypse I believe 12 ga, .40, and .22 will be the last calibers standing.
Sounds like it is time for some MEN in this area to stand up and challenge their right to act this way. If that takes challenging the local authorities as well, then so be it. But, if we allow our children to be attacked by animals (and I use that term based on what they do and not their skin color) without standing up and putting a stop to it, what does it say about us as a people?
This community needs to come together and put a stop to this mess.
