Must have had a lot of heat put on the station, the old fire an intern trick didn’t satisfy them.

I don't think Al Jazeera would be interested. They may be extremely biased and evil but man do they have a slick operation. AJ English makes Fox,CNN, etc look like a bunch of hick town AM radio stations.
Did we ever figure out who wrote the names? Many of us here could craft such a list, however.
But how did it get distributed to the TV Station? Fax, blog, fake press release, twitter etc.?

As does this lady who was reporting traffic in Saginaw, Michigan and “accidentally” drew a male’s manhood:

I’m going to guess the three producers found the names on the web and found them to be hilarious as we did.
So they passed them along to continue the prank. Some on-air decision maker did not recognize the prank and called the NTSB, who confirmed them as that person was also not prank aware.
There you have it, classic double failure.
The rest is history.
Asiana Airlines deserves shame by mockery, for this avoidable event. No guilt here.
