In March 2009 Hillary Clinton announced that the Obama Adminstration was going to push the reset button with the Russians. Unfortunately, the administration bungled their delivery and spelled out overcharge rather than restart on their button.
This week the Russians pushed their own reset button. Moscow rejected US demands for the extradition of NSA leaker Edward Snowden.

Putin just loves jerking Obama around.
And I for one, enjoy witnessing it! I know the stakes are high, I get it...but dang if it’s not a hoot to watch ‘the man’ yank on the little puppet!
Stupid people in power need to be punished in a very public way.
I'm rather enjoying that myself! :-)
I wonder if Vlad's a closet Freeper.... Maybe a Russian version of Laz...
"I vould heet it!"
Snowden should consider Russia as a place to live. If Texas didn’t exist, I’d likely be in Russia now. Russia vs any South or Central American country is a hell of an easy choice.
Given his KGB background, I would suspect that when Putin hits something, it stays hit.
Putty ain’t no pussy!
Interpretation: Hm, zero the offer you made us for him was lacking. You are lacking. So we’re gonna keep him.
Zero is in trouble.

It is great to see a real man bitch-slap the sissy-boy.
This should put to rest any notion that relations between Russia and the USA will be better with Democrats in charge. Russia is just as hostile to the USA as when Republicans were in charge. Russia’s hostility to the USA had nothing to do with President Bush, they are just as hostile to us now with Obama bending over backwards and forwards to please his comrade KGB Putin. Russia will be America’s enemy no matter who is in charge of the American government.
Russia certainly respects us more when Republicans are in charge.
...and this lightweight came on the scene thinking he was gonna charm the world -- and then he got shamed away from his telepromptr, and it's all gone downhill from there.
Putin would never criticize Ho Chi Minh. Putin said that what America did in Viet Nam was worse than Stalin’s purges.
The date on this is June 25. Things have changed since then. Putin is thinking it over, hasn’t told the US to stuff it, yet.
No. They showed they HATE us and will murder anyone who befriends us.
Why would Putin need to criticize Ho Chi Minh? Why would an American President hail Ho Chi Minh is a better question as that in fact happened?,
Putin would not criticize Obama’s statement lionizing Ho Chi Minh because Putin agrees with it.
I’d pay $10.00 to watch a Putin Obama boxing match. Aw hell, I’d pay $50.00 to watch that.
Putin would not criticize Obamas statements because Putin has no reasons to criticize every one of Obama’s or anybody’s statements!
Honestly, I think Reagan could have dealt with Putin. He would respect him and Putin would respect him.
I don’t think Bush or Obama were able to fully understand and deal with Putin. He should be in our corner for the most part, and they both drove him away.
It all started with that school that was taken over by terrorists. I didn’t think we handled that well at all.
We could have made a lot of headway after that, and we mostly let it fall flat. That was a massive mistake IMO.
No U. S. President would. Answer your question?
This dipstick isn’t our president. I don’t know whose he is, but he for damned sure isn’t on our team.
Putin adores and admires Ho Chi Minh for killing so many thousands of Americans.
And we showed “respect” towards Russia by attacking their Serb brothers in Kosovo.
So does, evidently, your President. And that's what concerns us here, not Putin's country's interests, which he is paid to defend, not ours, D'uh!
If Putin cared about Serbia, he wouldn’t have pulled all Russia troops from Serbia and abandoned them to their fate. Yeltsin cared about Serbia and Putinists do nothing but curse Yeltsin. Why? Because Yeltsin destoyed Putin’s beloved Soviet Union which Putin said was a catastrophe.
Being the USA’s enemy and supporting our terrorist enemies is not in Russia’s best interests. Putin does not care at all about Russia’s interests, only his own interests. Putin has robbed the Russian people and stolen their freedom. He has acted against his own people’s best interests.
I’m liking Ukraine more and more.
I’d rather go to Poland or Slovakia, they aren’t nearly as antagonistic and they also are holding the line for Western Values.
You couldn’t touch the nose bleed seats for that match for $50.
Reading minds is forbidden by the Moderators here, but of course Putin is not a member of FR (as far as we know.)
Has any body invited him?
Too bad kissing the ass of the mass-murderer war criminal KGB Putin isn’t forbidden here.
How many Branch Davidians were murdered by our own mass-murderer again?
If only the philandering murderer Putin was treated with the same disdain as the philandering murderer Clinton.
If anybody is going to protect Christians in the world, it’s going to be Russia. Poland and Slovakia are not capable of it.
You underestimate the Poles...They saved Europe from Islam and Bolshevism.
That does it! I say we send Obama to Russia to kick Putin’s butt-man to man.
As cool as that was, the really BIG celebration is going to be when Serbian and/or Russian tanks roll back into Kosovo, and that day is coming.
Or does anybody actually believe that George Soros could be on the right side of anything???
Putin abandoned Serbia. The Serbs got the same reward as every other country that is friends with Russia, a knife in the back. That's why the Serbs now want to join the EU. They know that Russia's friendship is worthless.
Impotent Putin could not even overthrow Saakashvili, who is still in power today.
“Putin just loves jerking Obama around.”
I wonder how he’d handle Rick Perry?
Better yet, how would he handle Sara Palin? Can you imagine how she would handle him?
Russia does not have gay pride marches in their army and they know a Marxist when they see one.
The central focus of the US State Department for the last five years has been some kind of a fággot jihad...
The attempt by our own State Department to steal the Russian elections for their comrades in the Russian Communist Party through non-profit NGOs was soundly beaten by Vladimir Putin (love him or hate him).
This is why Russia cracked down on non-profit groups. The homosexual attack on the Orthodox Church by the queer punk band Pússy Riot, who were on the payroll of State Department funded NGOs, is another reason. Lesbian weirdo Madonna was also flown in as a provocateur...
While Leon Puñettas was busy with gay pride celebrations at the Pentagon, he forgot there was a war, a U.S. Ambassador was murdered and Navy Seals were completely abandoned to their deaths... all because everyone was being so fúcking gay...
The Serbs do not want to join the EUSSR at all...
Putin handling Obama like the fish he was photographed with the other day. God save the Republic.
Serbian government is ready for the start of accession talks with the EU - July 26, 2013 - Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said in a meeting with British Ambassador to Serbia Michael Davenport on Friday that the Serbian government is ready for the start of accession talks with the EU, while the ambassador said that London supports Serbias EU path and reforms, Tanjug reported.
After the meeting, Dacic said Serbias most important foreign policy goal is EU membership.
The formation of a negotiating team and the necessary capacities which will be engaging in the process is under way.
Stabilizing our economy and finances, creating jobs and attracting investors is the governments primary goal, said Dacic, according to a release issued by the governments press office.
He especially stressed the governments commitment to reforms, because the goal is for Serbia to emerge from the negotiating process as a successful EU member state.

It appears Putin is the more effective, smarter leader.
Why not flaunt it?
