Former Washington, D.C. Mayor Marion Barry said Anthony Weiner is a "good Democrat" who should be talking more about his accomplishments in Congress.
In an interview Saturday night on Geraldo Rivera's show on Fox News, Barry said, "One bit of advice to the congressman: I'd stop talking so much about now and start talking about what you did for seven terms while he was in the Congress. He's a good Democrat."
A couple weeks ago, Barry said he can "identify" with what Weiner is going through.
Earlier in the interview, Barry and Rivera clashed about the ex-mayor's past brushes with the law.
Barry, who is now a D.C. Council member, balked at Rivera's characterization of his past drug scandals.
Barry accused the federal government of attempting to set him up, and twice used an expletive on the air. Rivera asked him to apologize, and Barry later did, saying he was "sorry he got upset."
Prominent Democrats have been critical of Weiner, including Reps. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) and Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.).
David Axelrod, a former senior adviser to President Obama, said Sunday that Weiner is “delusional” and should drop out of the race for New York City mayor.
"I think it's time for him to go away and let New York have its mayor’s race," Axelrod said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

My prediction is that the demonrats are going to force Weiner out. The money is going to dry up and his staff will be strong armed to abandon is campaign.
Demonrat support will go to the other pervert.
Well, when you get an endorsement from Marion Berry, what else do you need?
Seriously, Berry, Weiner -in any decent society these men would have been so shamed they’d be reluctant to show themselves on the street much less make appearances in the mass media and continue to seek - and in Berry’s case, win - public office.

I think Weiner is going to prematurely pull out. But then again, he just might stick it out further. But Marion got it right when he says Weiner is a proud member of the Democrat party.

That is why JP Morgan bought all the major news outlets in early 1900’s and they controlled all major publishing companies-—so the “Right” version of the “Truth” was fed to the masses.
